Re: University of Florida
I just visited UC Boulder a couple days ago. They have a really nice building and Pearl Street has some great shops. It was 70 degrees when I went and the next day they got 25" of snow.

I can only hope that being UF undergrad with UF parents gets me a bonus point. Tough year, never thought I would be sweating it out with 162/3.62

I would be in utter disbelief if you got waitlisted. Unless you filled out your application with crayon, I would have guessed auto-admit.cigator wrote:I can only hope that being UF undergrad with UF parents gets me a bonus point. Tough year, never thought I would be sweating it out with 162/3.62

Alright man, wow. You hadn't shared this information yet, no way for us to know. I was just doing exactly what we've been doing for weeks now- speculating.

Re: University of Florida
I wish. I didn't apply until priority deadline of 1/15. Went RCDP around 2/15 with DIT 3/16. I just want to know already so I can move forward. I applied to Stetson last minute to cover my bases. Then I got admit to FSU 1 week after I applied. The process is kind of exciting and devastating at the same time.steven3579 wrote:I would be in utter disbelief if you got waitlisted. Same. I applied priority deadline at UF and also got an FSU acceptance a week after going complete. Not sure what to make of it all.cigator wrote:I wish. I guess that settles it.
No mail for me in central Florida but I'm now fully prepared for the waitlist to come on Monday

Re: University of Florida
Even if they do send mixed batches, the fact that all 3/16's have been florida residents and waitlists makes me think that everyone is a waitlist. Especially because florida residents have a slight edge over out of staters and therefore had the best chance for acceptance.Sky'stheLimit wrote:steven3579 wrote:harvestmoon and encyclopedia brown = Waitlist DLIT 3/16Sky'stheLimit wrote:Is this right??

It looks like they sent out a mixed batch around 3/17-3/18 last year. Maybe it has taken longer for us to receive our decisions, b/c acceptance packets are bigger (more stuff in them=might have taken an extra day to prepare) than WL letters....Maybe there is hope.....

Well I hope ur right. I'm a WA resident and have to wait the longest so the first acceptance from 3/16 would at least give me some hope

Re: University of Florida
So everyone thinks its a WL for all of the 3/16 3/17 DLITs? I was accepted back in February, but I have a lot of friends who just graduated '09 at UF or are still in undergrad that went DLIT on those days. Crossing my fingers for them.

I'm in South Carolina right now (for their ASD), so I can't check my mail today. But I'm already accepting my fate as a WL.

I like that logic, but maybe the 3/17 get some acceptance since it took a day longer to get them out.Sky'stheLimit wrote:It looks like they sent out a mixed batch around 3/17-3/18 last year. But I was referring to the general mix of 3/16 and 3/17, as I am a 3/16.

I'm a DLIT 3/17, but I doubt this logic is accurate since I seem to remember another 3/17 saying they called and admissions said they were all mailed out at the same time (both 3/16 & 3/17), but maybe I was reading that wrong.cigator wrote:I like that logic, but maybe the 3/17 get some acceptance since it took a day longer to get them out.Sky'stheLimit wrote:It looks like they sent out a mixed batch around 3/17-3/18 last year. Have any DLIT 3/17's heard anything yet?

Yeah, I wasn't differentiating between the 2 groups. I was simply hoping that maybe we all don't have the same WL fate.

Unless 3/17 is a rejection batch, then you'll hope you had the same WL fate...

I'm a 3/16. I definitely think we have a chance at there being some acceptances in the batch.

Re: University of Florida
I would tend to agree with you. Last year there was clearly a 3/18 Acceptance and a 3/20 Waitlist group. This year I haven't seen the equivalent acceptance and waitlist batch unless it was on 3/5 and 3/11...
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
