Anyone have any success in negotiating Columbia up from a Butler? Or once you get a Butler, is the only other option a Hamilton?

When did they say you would get a decision?

Placed on "Reserve" today via email sent at 4 pm EST. thought i'd be admitted, given i went to Columbia for undergrad but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ guess that narrows down my options.

"Because we are uncertain about the plans of some applicants whom we have already admitted, it is necessary for us to postpone making a
determination on your application until the end of May, when we will begin reviewing those candidates on Reserve and possibly offering some admission to our 2017 entering class."

Ahh, I believe this is the reserve email, which is Columbia's waitlist.

Admitted without major scholarships, financial aid office is still reviewing my stuff. I'm assuming that whatever it will be, it probably won't approach even half tuition. Hence, my dilema: Is there any way to justify Columbia over NU at full scholarship, if the end goal is LA biglaw? I've been agonizing over this for a whole week now, and still can't decide. A poll I created on these forums tells me I'm insane to even consider turning down NU's freeride. What do you guys think?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
