I've actually visited CLS twice as an undergrad when I was considering ED'ing two years ago, but I'm attending the "Mondays at Columbia" event later this month as my first visit as an actual prospective student.

Ah, gotcha. I think Columbia is gorgeous but the law school made me feel sad, lol. It's a matter of preference. The school itself sounds amazing though.

SLS has made final decisions, which means that their "soft" holds have already been taken off the shelf. In other words, prepare to see that "file submitted for review" change in the next few days.

Don't think they'll stop admitting students just yet - as the deadlines to Yale/Harvard approach, some space will open up with SLS and they will adjust accordingly.

you're right, the law school building itself is bleak. but I feel like the rest of the campus makes up for it. and outside of class I don't see myself spending a lot of time there anyway.

I was too busy trying not to audibly cry, tbh, so I could've heard/interpreted wrong as well. Only time will tell.

Called them and they explained it to me (more or less). Could be just something they say, but I'm inclined to believe they're telling the truth. Invariably some students will not make it to ASW, but very, very few.

All along, my email field has been: primary: XYZ@X.COM secondary: (blank)

Yesterday I noticed that it was primary: XYZ@X.COM secondary: XYZ@X.COM

Today it is primary: XYZ@X.COM secondary: (blank) again.

I'm going to assume this means a WL or ding is coming for me tomorrow.

That was my situation until I turned in my fall transcripts. It sucked so bad. I'd get excited every time someone would report a lowercase email.

hey everyone, been too busy celebrating to comment sooner... my primary email changed to lowercase around 8am PST today. I got the call around 1:00pm PST telling me i was in after faculty review. i absolutely could not be more excited! so about me, in case its helpful:

172/3.6 non-URM
military veteran
small private school
complete and "submitted for review" since 9/19
submitted a LOCI, a 4th LOR, and an email detailing a deadline i was up against all in the last 2-3 months.

completely humbled and grateful... thanks to all of you for the great info over the last stressful 6ish months.
