Guess they are done for the day. Makes me sad. Good thing Cornell has already conditioned us all to be good waiters!

NOW IS NOT THE TIME, DREXEL!
Unfortunately it does seem like they are done for the day. Hopefully we hear back soon.

Congrats to everyone with offers!
I have mixed feelings. With my numbers, I expected zero aid but received $30k. But I see that lots of folks have gotten $105k so I'm not in such a great state of elation.

Congrats to everyone who got $ today (and was happy with it). Hopefully everyone else will hear...soon. :/
And ph, I offered my thoughts in your thread, but you're welcome to PM me for more on why I chose Cornell over NYU.

Lavitz, quick Q. I received the same 105K offer as ph from Cornell today, but I have 62.5K on the table from NYU. With similar career aspirations as ph, would your opinion of 'advantage: Cornell' be the same for me?Lavitz wrote:Congrats to everyone who got $ today (and was happy with it). See, I knew I should've extended that PM offer to everyone elseMacB wrote:Lavitz, quick Q. I received the same 105K offer as ph from Cornell today, but I have 62.5K on the table from NYU. With similar career aspirations as ph, would your opinion of 'advantage: Cornell' be the same for me?

No, because IMO the whole living at home thing clinches it for her, plus your NYU offer is higher, so there's a much smaller gap in CoA in your case. I think both of you should make sure to visit both schools, negotiate, etc. But as things stand, Cornell definitely does not have a clear cut advantage in your case. And depending on personal preference and level of debt-aversion, I might actually give the nod to NYU in your case.

Any chance they send out the scholarship offers alphabetically?

Not sure, but I seemed to get my email early on, and I spent elementary school at the front of the line.Just wrote:Any chance they send out the scholarship offers alphabetically?

Thanks for the input, Lavitz. Sounds like our thinking on the matter is very similar. Conveniently I am driving from Boston to Ithaca tomorrow morning, and then on to NYC later this week to do exactly what you suggested. I have a feeling that the right decision will make itself clear.

$7k a year. Better than nothing but just would still be too much money to attend, especially when I go a really good offer from Texas. Ill try and negotiate tomorrow.

Last week. I'm kind of a mess. (I also didn't have an LSAT score until February's test- just got my result a couple weeks ago.)JXander wrote:You just submitted today?TheMostDangerousLG wrote:Application (finally) submit.. how many years until it goes complete?

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Thanks Lavitz! I'm hoping that with this offer, NYU will bump me up to the $62.5k level, and if that happens, my decision will be easier, even with the living at home option. I love NYU, and the heart has reasons that reason cannot understand. If that doesn't happen, then it'll be back to the drawing board for me.Lavitz wrote:See, I knew I should've extended that PM offer to everyone elseMacB wrote:Lavitz, quick Q. Best of luck with your decision too, MacB!

So...you're going to ditch us?iMisto wrote:No word here... But I am in Berkeley's 1rst Quartile for the WL.

Cornell had better offer you $45K now to make you stay.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
