Is it just me or are there very few January completes (such as myself) with DLSes? It seems almost everyone who has recently reported one has a 2011 complete date. I think they DO seem to be going through the rest of the pile in a general order of complete date. So now I'm wondering exactly how long I'm going to have to wait to get my ding...

There is no particular method to their madness. I would expect to hear within the next 30 hours or so - hopefully, a WL for you

Yep, it seems DLS's today are dings. It seems they are not able to offer me a seat in the class.

Oh, my bad. But did you get your today or last night? Last night, there were mostly (only?) waitlists.

DLS in the past few hours. Called and I'm WL'ed.

173/3.7 from Duke, non URM, complete late Jan.

Hopefully many people decide to go elsewhere and we all get off the waitlist!

Unfortunately, I think it may be time to get out the violins. The URM boat may be sinking tomorrow. I hope I'm wrong and that there is something to this doppelganger theory. Maybe Dean Deal will make some calls to the survivors? Goodness knows we could do with some good news in this thread.

I'm hoping if there may be a few extra URM admits once Stanford's firmed up its 25-50-75th numbers. If your LSAT/GPA numbers aren't going to budge, might as well admit a dozen more URMs and significantly bring up your diversity numbers right?

At this point, I'm just hoping that they'll invite the rest of us to some island off the California coast to compete in an Enter the Dragon style event for the last open seat.
I wouldn't win, but it would make for a better story than opening an envelope to find a rejection.

Personally, and I'm sure that any vets will agree, I think we should have a hunger games-style scenario every time they take someone off the wait list.

I believe, and correct me if I'm wrong, the hold-up is related to whether or not we are waitlists or rejections.
