Thanks guys, I guess i'll shoot them an email later on in March. I don't want to piss them off or rush them though, but I guess I don't really have a choice.

I don't see how anyone could take offense to a polite email 3-4 weeks in advance.Knock wrote:Thanks guys, I guess i'll shoot them an email later on in March. I don't want to piss them off or rush them though, but I guess I don't really have a choice.

I have a good feeling about you. I think you'll get in with the April admits.Knock wrote:Thanks guys, I guess i'll shoot them an email later on in March. I don't want to piss them off or rush them though, but I guess I don't really have a choice.

Knock: Exact same situation when I applied three years ago. I called April 8 and they told me my decision (WL) over the phone, even though I hadn't gotten a letter or an updated status yet.

I am also curious because I see one person updated to rejection 10 hours ago and a couple rejections 2/28. The rejections are from January completes I believe. (Could they be getting close to starting round 2 of reviews?) Nothing particularly strange or shocking, though.glitched wrote:What is it?BackToTheOldHouse wrote:Scary movement over on LSN this morning

Yea, I guess someone getting dinged with a 178 and 3.87 isn't that shocking.cardinals1989 wrote:I am also curious because I see one person updated to rejection 10 hours ago and a couple rejections 2/28. Hey everyone...if I want to update my application, do you think it would be inappropriate to e-mail Dean Deal directly?

Send it to the generic email for admissions. However, I did in fact address my email and LOCI to Dean Deal and the admissions committee.HNSA15 wrote:Hey everyone...if I want to update my application, do you think it would be inappropriate to e-mail Dean Deal directly?

Is that how the process works for SLS- several rounds of reviews? I haven't seen much movement among January completes (of which I am one). Then again, looking at last year's data on LSN, only ONE (and s/he was a URM) January complete was accepted.cardinals1989 wrote:I am also curious because I see one person updated to rejection 10 hours ago and a couple rejections 2/28. That could be a selection issue, though. It isn't unreasonable to assume that most folks who have their shit together enough to apply early are also those who have found and utilized resources like LSN & TLS. There could be a number of January admits who simply don't post their stuff online.fish52 wrote:Is that how the process works for SLS- several rounds of reviews? Really? I just looked and found 8 January completes that were accepted, along with 2 February completes.fish52 wrote:Is that how the process works for SLS- several rounds of reviews? Re: Stanford Law School 2011 Applicants (Pics)
Most of what we say on here is speculation, though admittedly knowledgeable speculation. From Dean Deal's posts, she has said people fall into the auto-admit, auto-deny, or borderline categories. It is probably safe to assume those who are auto-admit get calls fairly quickly after submission and those who are auto-deny or low end of borderline get letters fairly quickly in the process. We think that the DLS's so far (which for the most part have been chronological) have been these. It seems logical to think that if your submitted for review date has been passed over for DLS the first time through, you were a borderline and will receive further review.fish52 wrote:Is that how the process works for SLS- several rounds of reviews? Also, it is important to note that Stanford is holistic and even great candidates at many schools are auto-deny here just bc Stanford is looking for something specific (we don't know what).

Judging by the graphs in the OP, should we be bracing ourselves for massive spike in DLS in the next few weeks?
