Maybe they're trying to train us in quick thinking. Who knows?
I think someone had noted that in previous years, people on the Hold list were notified if they were admitted during the first and second week of April, and everyone else (reserves and dings) were notified on or right before April 26th. But seeing as none of us have reported hearing yet, I don't know if that timeline holds...
yeah, I don't remember the accepted holds but I'm pretty sure TLS had reported them before now, bc this year I was braced from march 27 on. it seems like the timeline is different this year. I was reserved 4/20 last year but people had definitely reported acceptances before that
Thanks for the info!
What do we know about scholarship opportunities off the Held list?

Considering how many straight admits got no merit aid, I'm thinking slim to none

If the admissions email did not contain any mention of merit-based aid, should I assume I am not getting any?

I haven't received any denials this cycle. Mostly because I applied somewhat conservatively (no Chicago, HYS, or Berk). I am not going to withdraw this app, even if it may break that streak! cmon

Congrats! What was your previous status? Specifically, were you on hold or just waiting?

First time on this thread. For those of you who visited, how do you let the admissions commitee know that you did?

They have a visiting prospective student sign-in sheet at the admissions office. They will give you a pass to see the library. Then you can send a letter of continued interest about how much you loved the visit and the community and how great of a fit you are.

Does CLS notify domestic applicants about admission, waitlist, and whatnot via mail as stated on its status checker, or is mail reserved only for rejections?

Deans Certification,
I was accepted to Columbia (yay!) but looking at the Deans Certification I am a little nervous. There were no disciplinary actions that my Dean is reporting (confirmed) but the latter part about recommending me for enrollment and verifying my character to practice law etc. is worrying me. I went to a very small school and hung out with a group of people known to be a little wild. I was involved in an incident but nothing came of it but I am worried she is going to screw me. As long as all the disciplinary info matches is there any reason Columbia would revoke my acceptance??

For all of my stressed friends on hold, based on previous years' threads there might start to be some movement for us this week or next. So best of luck, everybody!

You're probably fine. They wouldn't not recommend you/verify your character unless there were a good reason not to.
