I wouldn't sweat it that much. I just got a JS2 with a sub-median LSAT, but I think my JS1 wave (12/24) and this JS2 wave are basically the first time they dipped below median LSAT for non-URM/rocket scientist applicants. I think you just have to be patient while they shore up their LSAT median...they will get to you guys eventually!blueberrybagel wrote:yes please! as a reverse-splitter also, that would be greatly appreciated.tonysoprano wrote:Thoughts on changing the poll to include which median a person is above for JS2 recipients, at least? makes sense that it'd look bad for splitters early on in the cycle, cuz if you're above both medians (and have at least average softs) you're probably getting right in. they'll start dipping a little now that they have already seen all of this year's 175+ and 3.9+ candidates. dont lose hope

all this speculation is interesting.
do they ever do multiple js2 waves in the same week?

based on last cycle, they could be making more calls tomorrow.ballcaps wrote:all this speculation is interesting.

based on this cycle, I would expect the next wave in like april or something. or just never.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
That's a tough call. We could hypothetically take out the "Not yet complete" option if people were open to that. We could then split "JS2! (at/above one median)" to "JS2! (above LSAT median)" and "JS2! (above GPA median)." That doesn't really address those who've yet to receive JS1's, though.xylocarp wrote:the poll can only have ten options. Sorry if I missed this but how many of us from the 11/24 JS1 wave get the call today? More silence for me

Question for you guys -- I submitted on 1/2/15, and went complete on 1/21. I'm a 4+ GPA and 25th<LSAT<50th. Still waiting for JS1. How much do you think my chances will be impacted by the fact that I submitted somewhat late? Should I stress out about that or are my chances not really affected?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Haha, fair enough. I guess it's a question I've had uncertainty about for a bit, which leads to stress. If I had a sense one way or another it would better let me know where I stand and allow me to feel groundedpulstar1 wrote:I do believe that your chances are not really affected by you stressing out about that.buyorsell912 wrote:Should I stress out about that or are my chances not really affected?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
a lot of people submit in January -- my two cents, based on what I saw when I applied last year, is that strong candidates still get taken as strong candidates, despite their proven record of complacency and procrastination
haha just kidding ya i wouldn't stress at all. applying late certainly doesn't do you any favors, but it's not going to hurt you much -- especially since Jan 2 (despite the later complete date) really isn't very "late"
tl;dr no, don't worry

haha sorry it's a fair question I guess. I think an early Jan. submission shouldnt hurt you though. You pretty much submitted right after your Dec. score came out (im assuming youre a Dec. taker?).buyorsell912 wrote:Haha, fair enough. Applied early October, above both medians - didn't hear anything since November. What might be wrong with my application?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Congratulations everyone!!! For us still waiting, I'll just leave this here for reference:
In total, we have had 15 JS1 waves and 3 JS2 waves. The following is the amount of people within each JS1 wave who has received a JS2. I'm doing this by interview invitation date rather than actual interview because this data is accessible and there shouldn't be too much difference for people within the same wave (1-2 weeks maximum).
Oct 27: 6 of 11 (11 JS1s were reported in this wave, and 6 have now reported JS2s)
Oct 31: 5 of 6
Nov 3: 5 of 7
Nov 10: 9 of 13
Nov 14: 3 of 4
Nov 24: 4 of 18
Dec 4: 3 of 8
Dec 12: 2 of 4
Dec 15: 3 of 5
Dec 24: 4 of 16
Jan 6: 1 of 2
Jan 8: 3 of 14
Jan 23: 0 of 1
Jan 26: 0 of 5
Feb 2: 0 of 2
Of the 21 JS2s reported today, 9 had JS1 invitations in Oct/Nov, 7 had JS1 invitations in Dec, 4 had JS1 invitations in Jan, and 1 unknown.

I'm a KJD too and I waited for 2 months for an interview (accepted as of today). So don't be disheartened (I remember asking a similar question too on this forum). TBH I didn't feel like my KJD-ness was that big of an issue during my interview as I only got 1 question related to it and it was very brief.zlrup wrote:yepMack.Hambleton wrote:KJD?zlrup wrote:Applied early October, above both medians - didn't hear anything since November. Checking in as still waiting post january JS1 (LSAT>75, GPA<25). Also I have to note that I feel like every other TLS thread about harvard accuses it of being full of douchy prestige whores, however the people in this thread are some of the nicest and most supportive I've seen anywhere on this website. Yall have made me want to go even more than I did before. Massive congrats to all those who've gotten in thus far and est of luck to everyone else (including myself) still waiting!

Wow I was out of the country for the last 2 weeks (with very little internet access), and I landed home today to find in my email inbox a JS2!!!
submitted very late Oct, part of the 11/10 JS1 wave
For those passed over again and again like I was, don't lose hope
And big congrats to other acceptances!!
