Thanks! I figured, but just think its comical that I knew almost a week ago and I haven't heard a word from them. Not even a status update!AMD wrote:Congrats Smumps! You are in

GULC doesn't update your status after a decision. I was accepted in November and mine still says complete.Smumps wrote:Thanks! I figured, but just think its comical that I knew almost a week ago and I haven't heard a word from them. Not even a status update!AMD wrote:Congrats Smumps! You are in

I am waiting for snail mail too. According to previous posts, generally two weeks although some of those were during the holidays which could have delayed the mailing.
A few others received snail mail the following week.
We want that hard copy ASAP, unfortunately the Post Office is closed today.

I had 2 updated status check dates last week (12th and 13th)...my citizenship and address were changed and my 'term' was changed to FT (I applied FT/PT). Have yet to get any sort of email to reject or WL me, but I also can't log into ASW. Do they ever send out WL/Rs purely via snail mail, or will I receive an email for sure if I'm being WL/R?

hey ms crumpets~ i know ur probly looking for confirmation from another person too but trust me from someone who has combed through this thread obsessively the past few days looking for info not a single person has reported getting a ding/waitlist by anything other than email. Based on how u updated last week and whats happened to a bunch of other people over the past couple weeks this is what I think is gonna happen, u'll update again tomorrow sometime early but won't be able to log into asw right away, if you check back around 4 pacific, u'll see that you can generate a username and password but they won't work, u'll think what the hell and wonder if you're in....4 days later (right at midnight apparently) ur log in info will work and u'll be happy....hopefully im right!

Took me 2-3 days. Submitted last week of October. Not sure if that has changed as the cycle progressed.gthopeful wrote:just submitted my ed app (late i know lol) its gone complete on lsac's side already...

I received my status checker in an e-mail. I got in via snail mail but was able to determine admission by requesting and receiving a username and password to their admitted students website.gthopeful wrote:you got in an email correct?

really? how bout you withdraw so some of us who aren't committed to NU can get into gulc?crumpetsandtea wrote:benito wrote:hey ms crumpets~ i know ur probly looking for confirmation from another person too but trust me from someone who has combed through this thread obsessively the past few days looking for info not a single person has reported getting a ding/waitlist by anything other than email. I hope you're right too! It's a little selfish because I know I'll be attending NU, but I really would like to get into GULC as well. Even though I'll still be ECSTATIC with my cycle if I get dinged everywhere from here on out, it's still nice to get acceptances XD!!

EDIT: I apologize, crumpetsandtea, if my joke came off as immature or annoying to you.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I've been on this thread on and off. I'm sort of freaking out - my application has been complete since 11/23 and there hasn't been a status change since. Should I be worried? I realize that the common wisdom on this thread suggests that for GULC, status dates don't mean anything. (Apparently there have been many who have been accepted through ASW without any status change?) Nevertheless, it has been a while (right?) for my application. What should I be expecting?
Also, if it makes any difference, I have not been contacted to interview.

I'm sorry, but this is one of the lamest things that I see on TLS...jumister5889 wrote:really? how bout you withdraw so some of us who aren't committed to NU can get into gulc?crumpetsandtea wrote:benito wrote:hey ms crumpets~ i know ur probly looking for confirmation from another person too but trust me from someone who has combed through this thread obsessively the past few days looking for info not a single person has reported getting a ding/waitlist by anything other than email. Crumpets - you have worked hard on LSAT and undergrad, and probably spent hundreds, maybe thousands on apps. Don't withdraw anywhere until you're damn good and ready... If you want to wait it out and leverage scholarship offers at ten different schools, even schools that I'm waiting on a decision from, I think you've earned that right.
Sorry for jumping on you jumister - I perceive from the smiley that you aren't entirely serious about your request, but I've seen this a number of times, and I know I wouldn't appreciate it...

I was going through old tweets looking for something, and I found this, tweeted by me after the TFA conference in DC last February:msblaw89 wrote:New topic! I love GULC!jumister5889 wrote:ok cogitoergosum.cogitoergosum wrote:Doesn't make it less annoying...jumister5889 wrote: completely kidding
"I'm officially in love with DC. Adding Georgetown to my law school list." one year later, I'm about 70% sure I'm attending.

For what it's worth, I hope you get into GULC, and if we both end up attending I'll look forward to debating communitarian vs. individualist ideals with you!jumister5889 wrote:ok cogitoergosum.cogitoergosum wrote:Doesn't make it less annoying...jumister5889 wrote: completely kidding
