Between your great GPA and your URM status, I'm not surprised they overlooked submedian lsat. Congrats!!!decemberstar82 wrote:I'm currently not quite sure what to do with myself. Ya know, if the list of schools in your profile is exhaustive, I would recommend sending out another batch of apps to as many of the t-14 as possible. Also - I'm going out on a limb here - but if you happen to be Native American (I see your major is native american studies), I would recommend this even more, as I'm pretty sure native americans are among the most highly under-represented minorities. This, along with your great GPA could make for a lot more surprises like this one.cogitoergosum wrote:Between your great GPA and your URM status, I'm not surprised they overlooked submedian lsat. Who knows? lol. Hopefully it means good news for you soon!!!! (deferred; still 12/16)Killingly wrote:Okay. Deferred EA applicant here. Recently update 02/09 and 02/13. Thoughts? EA people, do we have hope?
Strange to think they'd accept me and not you. Cornell is one of three schools I'm waiting on. I just want an answer already.gaud wrote:Who knows? lol. Hopefully it means good news for you soon!!!! Nooo, didn't mean that! Just that I'm skeptical that my recent movement will end in an acceptance, especially since you've had no updates. Good luck!gaud wrote:Killingly wrote:Strange to think they'd accept me and not you. Cornell is one of three schools I'm waiting on. I just want an answer already.gaud wrote:Who knows? lol. Deja vu coming back to this thread...
Thanks for the advice/ explanation. However, I'm not sure I can go through attempting to fill out any more applications. Geography due to family life and relationships is going to play a big factor in my decision, so I don't think I'm going to include any more schools.cogitoergosum wrote:Ya know, if the list of schools in your profile is exhaustive, I would recommend sending out another batch of apps to as many of the t-14 as possible. My .02... Good luck!
ETA: if you decide to do this, get on it right away, as deadlines are approaching!
