I already posted this on the facebook group (http://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=3 ... 9035691375), but figured it would be worth a shot to put it here too!

Hey (possible) future classmates! I just signed a lease on a great 3-bedroom house and I'm looking for 2 roommates! The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, front and back porch, central air, off-street parking, kitchen appliances including a dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. It's about a 15 minute walk from campus and about a 10 minute walk to the bars/restaurants in town. Rent is $310 a month and utilities are about $100 a month, and the house is partially furnished. Basically, it's an awesome place! PM me if you have any questions or want to see any pictures.

Looks like Lexington got a shout out in the whole UVA murder. That violent meat head got tazed while drunk at the W&L campus a few years before went homicidal and man handled his ex.

Yeah, and shouted racial slurs and sexually-demeaning insults at the arresting officer. Nice.

What's everyone planning to do for living situations? I am dragging my girlfriend of three years down to Lexington with me (we already live together) and we're trying to figure out how to find a place. I guess W&L's website doesn't lie when it says most real estate opportunities aren't listed online...

They say that housing is "Plentiful and cheap", and it's a bit of a hassle to secure housing for me (I'll be in Hawai'i for the summer), so I'm praying that I'll be able to fly up in early August and find something...

Try Roanoke's craigslist and limit your search to Lexington. A number of good places listed. (the 3-1 on Myers St. is spoken for)

The News-Gazette.com or something similar. Classifieds have a number of listings.

welcome2lexington.com Not many on there but they have other listings not on the website. I had trouble getting Amy to call.

jwmre.com Emily Reel does their listings and has a number of listings available.

nelson st. apartments. Google it and you will get a phone number of the people that manage it...sort of. Not the most helpful lady in the world but we were told not a bad place. Small 2BR but only $550. I am told the 2nd BR is very small but they have no floorplans to send you.

update on the mojave cross for those of us at the April ASW... IT WAS STOLEN!!

http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/201 ... ubjec.html

Mojave is only an hour or so away from where I grew up, so I'm keeping myself abreast of new developments.

I hope they took some snarky pics of the person while he/she was carrying it.

If you haven't received any by now I would proceed as though you will get none. I know they weren't negotiating at all prior to the deposit and that they received more deposits than they were expecting. So, all money is spoken for....unfortunately. :(

Can you send me a PM about how you know this as well? I was hoping for some aid still yet...

I submitted a first seat deposit but I will be withdrawing first thing in the morning, so hopefully that will open up a seat for one of you guys on the wait list. Good luck to all of you!

Seeing that Facebook has fucked around with its layout yet again, how do I get to the admitted students group? Does it still exist? Am I missing something?

The admitted students page on the W&L website has a link to it:

http://law.wlu.edu/admissions/page2.asp?pageid=926

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
