Lol, that and the supposedly ample amounts of free food law schools provide students in order to draw them to events

My favorite part about working on the Hill was attending the 1000 events a week they invite Hill staff to with catered breakfast/lunch.brinicolec wrote:Gitaroo_Dude wrote:TBH bar review is probably what I'm looking forward to most during LS.brinicolec wrote:I think the most important thing is everyone can legally drink.

Why wouldn't they? They're my hands. They tell a story of power and success. Problem: no gloves fit.Gitaroo_Dude wrote:Will those magnificent hands be coming along?88234 wrote:I'll be 27 in August and single.
And, as the great Johnny Cochran once said, if the glove doesn't fit, give up.

Not trying to get into a deep discussion about OJ (who was totally guilty.... I think), but that was one of the greatest lines of all time. Cochran could've done a mic drop after that one!

Does anyone else wish more schools were like Penn and would do decision days that they blow up on social media? If every school I applied to did that then I would spend way less time browsing forums and just freak out when I saw the decision day thing on Twitter.

I'll say that having your SO move with you to law school would kind of take the stress away from dealing with a big move. I'll be leaving behind all of my friends and family when I go to law school (most likely) so I'm going to have to make a completely new friend group, something I haven't done since freshman year of high school

I decided against applying to Penn so I didn't even know this was a thing. I think Michigan does something kind of similar, though idk if I'd say they blow up on social media, more of a "Congrats! We sent some admission emails this morning!" lol. It is nice seeing it on the TL though. Less of having to guess when waves are. I just went on Penn Law's twitter and lol, they seem to be having fun with it.

I never realized how great of a speaker he was until I saw ESPN's OJ series last year. If he went out there and argued that Cooley's rankings were the most trusted ones out there, I'd have believed him.brinicolec wrote:88234 wrote:Why wouldn't they? They're my hands. Briefly thought about taking an LSAT diagnostic test to see what the odds are of me breaking a 170 if I were to take the Feb. LSAT.
Then I remembered that I threw away like all my LSAT stuff after the September LSAT to rid of memories of anxiety

Yeah I was about to say that.
The LSAT gods are telling me to just be happy with my 167.

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (new poll)
It's not something I've been thinking about much since I'm just worried about people accepting me at this point, but it is something to consider. Even with the same interests/career goals, that's still generally a different point in life for most people... Maybe not so much if they're single, but if they've settled down and/or have kids, I feel like outside of top-law-schools.com just looks a lot different for them/they'd probably be a lot less social than someone who's single and younger.Alexandros wrote:+180RParadela wrote:Oh god, the thought of having kids gives me more anxiety than checking for decisions. I see a lot of talk about wives/husbands in the waiter threads which kind of freaks me out as a 21 year old kid who doesn't even want to be in a committed relationship much less marriage.
I'm 22, about to be 23. Not married, but am in a committed relationship, she will come with me to Law School.
I was freaked out when I applied two years ago, but then I started working in an office which has way more married people in it. Now the concept of raging with married friends isn't weird at all.
Now parents, that shit is weird (jk, kinda)
I think that's gonna factor into decisions a bit too. I think Northwestern, with its median entering age of 26, would be great for some people, but weird for me.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
