I've been (against my better judgement) checking these boards religiously ever since I got my stanford ding. I haven't heard anything from CLS or NYU and I applied early sept... anyone else have about 6 months of complete silence from these two schools? I mean no word what so ever...

Heard back from Boalt, Georgetown, and Stanford but nothing at all from NYC

There are several people in the CLS thread who are pushing six months. iirc, there are also still NYU applicants who have been UR since 10/16!

And I'm sure you're not alone in checking these boards a lot. I think Dean Asha once said we have too much time on our hands. More accurately, we have too many internet-enabled devices in our hands. Who can resist?

Yah, I resisted for so long! but after I started hearing back I got too tempted...

now I am miserable and I have no idea where I am headed in a few months. Just extended my lease through July... aggh

There was one DLS -> rejection via email reported last week I think, but with those numbers I would be shocked if you were the next one. Try to log into ASW in an hour or so and keep an eye on your phone!

It sounds like they're slowly going back and reviewing the fall applicants that they (for some reason) seemed to have forgotten about. Hope springs eternal!!

Nope, because sometimes it can take up to an hour, or even until the next day, to log into ASW. It's not a confirmed ding until you receive the email.

No. If you'll look just up the page a whole bunch of us are waiting. It takes a couple hours to as long as a day for the system to be updated and let you in.

good luck DLS'ers! I wasn't able to log into the ASW for about a day after my phone call... was freaking out between DLS and my call, sure I'd been rejected. FYI when trying to log in, I find the instructions on their page confusing. They say "ex: 123456789" for the username but you actually need to include the "L" - so "L12345678." I think that's why I was unable to log in for so long. And make sure you include the slashes in your dob. Good luck!

FWIW if you haven't gotten the ding letter yet, you're probably good. I got mine like 5 mins after status changed to DLS.

Rejections could come at any time. I still don't know whether my DLS today is a rejection. Waitlists come in a giant wave in April.
