2nd quartile resident. My Undergrad and my first choice... Is there a chance based on past cycles or should I not get my hopes up?

I'm sure everyone's getting tired of me asking this in here (especially with all of this waitlist talk), but:

No movement since 11/21.... Any hints as to what is going on? Does the fact that the Waitlist has been ranked/finalized mean that my only options are a reject/accept, or what?

Reading c/o 2015 threads about matching scholarships was easily one of the most depressing things I've done recently. Shit.

Sorry. limited internet access. Travelling abroad.

Can someone PM me when deposit / acceptance is due and how to do it (snail mail, email, accepted students website).

I can't access my CalNet and it's taking much too long, and the letter I have on me says that I should respond "either tentatively or definitively" by April 19. So, should I just email them and say I'm 90% sure I'm going?

Thank you so much!!!

It seems only URMs so far have received the matching schollies.

How much would an auto admit get if LSAT and GPA are both at or above medians?

I'm going to stay positive and assume that they're just going through the URM matching schollies first.

Or I hope that I have some damn amazing luck. Right now looking between a few, berk had always been my top but man I can't do it without at least some $$$.

Berkeley is a black box. Being above both medians is often no guarantee that you'll be admitted let alone get scholarship money. They may match, but as others have mentioned above, so far it seems that matching scholarships have gone to URM applicants.

But they will give something, right? I'd love to go to Berkeley (my top choice) but I'd go into shock if they don't offer anything...

.........

175/4.0 reporting here from the second quartile of the waitlist. Maybe have someone standing by with a blanket if you're going to go into shock. :-P

Applying early with high numbers equals auto accept. Applying late really, really hurts you at Berk.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
