What are your UR dates?

Well I was mostly focused on Chicago's status checker but from what I remember, Complete 12/23, UR 1/27, 2/7 then accepted today 2/10.

Except for Georgetown (which is just weird), the BigLaw placement only varies by like 5%-10% max between best and last. Are you willing to pay $30k (or whatever) for a safety net of 5%? That just doesn't compute. And if you want PI/Gov and Harvard isn't in the cards, I would definitely take the money and run. Debt is big. Don't underestimate it.

If I'm admitted but haven't heard about financial aid, is it safe to assume I'm not getting invited to one of the named scholarships?

Any chance I could bargain for one (with a significant offer from a peer school?)

So I went UCR for the second time today (first on 2/9). Anybody else get their second UCR today? Does this mean I'll be getting a decision soon?

Oh, and I love you, Penn!

They might do another round of invitations at a later point (I'm not really sure) but I don't think you can negotiate for a named scholarship. You can probably use that leverage to increase a regular scholarship when those come in.

FWIW, it's probably a good sign that you went 1st UCR to 2nd UCR so fast... the fast ones are usually auto admits or auto rejects, and you aren't the latter :)

Good luck!

I keep forgetting to actually post here, but I am pretty bad at that sort of thing. I applied on 1/9, status remains complete at 1/26. Not expecting any news for a while; I do like Penn, though, so here's to hoping. :D

Best of luck to everyone!

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
