Yeah, not feeling too great about this one either. I guess we'll see what happens. Wish I wasn't across the country though - who knows how long the mail will take to arrive!

Good luck guys!OneKnight wrote:Heh, going by last year the last acceptances came in early April so everyone still waiting is screwed!jdhopeful2010 wrote:hey guys! hate to be Debbie Downer here but looking at LSN this batch last year had similar numbers and were all dings.sucks, because I am a 4/20 DF too...
That said, maybe this year will play out a bit differently?

fwiw, I figured after the deposit deadline acceptances would not be in a batch, as is the case here.

I live locally, so when I find out what they say, I'll put up a post (unless someone beats me to it!)dc_lady225 wrote:Yeah, not feeling too great about this one either. I guess we'll see what happens. Wish I wasn't across the country though - who knows how long the mail will take to arrive!

the letter may not even be mailed out for a couple of days which seems to be a norm for USC. could be waiting until next week even if local.goletasb wrote:I live locally, so when I find out what they say, I'll put up a post (unless someone beats me to it!)dc_lady225 wrote:Yeah, not feeling too great about this one either. Approaching my 5 month "complete" anniversary with USC. Champagne is ready, candles are lit... Just awaiting that special moment.
After completing one another for so long, it's hard to resist the urge to see other people. But alas...
I hope to receive her love note in the mail in the near future.

Complete six months as of tomorrow. Whoopee. I know I should withdraw, but my curiosity as to how long they can keep this shit going is too great. (My secret hope is actually to outlast finalaspects, but that might have serious consequences for the fabric of the space-time continuum.)

hmm see you actually have the stats that gives them a reason to hold on to you. your LSAT is 1 point below their threshold.philosoraptor wrote:Complete six months as of tomorrow. Whoopee. me on the other hand have a such a low GPA its laughable. way below their 25% and i don't know why they aren't rejecting me. looking at LSN everyone with my stats has been rejected and those better have been waitlisted at best. and its been over 6 months....

also are you in review? what date?

I have the exact same stats as him.. Re: USC 2010!
since you guys are under the 167 Median, guessing they're holding on to you guys to see if they need a GPA boost. or until after they secure their median, so that no one else can lower it. this all makes sense for you guys...madhatter01 wrote: I have the exact same stats as him.. but why me? everyone with my stats have been rejected...

So, once it says "Decision Finalized", how long does it take to get a notice in the mail?

anytime within about 2 weeks. since usually they don't send the letter until 2 days after being DF. sometimes they send it on the same day but its rare it seems.groovegiant wrote:So, once it says "Decision Finalized", how long does it take to get a notice in the mail?

Re: USC 2010!
Yep, still complete. I get the whole "holding onto us" thing, up to a point. But not even reading our apps? That's the part that doesn't make sense. Not only would we help their GPA, but I do happen to have quality softs as well, and I like my chances if they ever get around to opening the file.madhatter01 wrote:I have the exact same stats as him.. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: USC will have to accept non-URM 166ers at some point, and the ones they're likely to want will have already committed to better schools, as I have. (I'm guessing you have, too, madhatter.) So it was stupid of them to have waited until after everyone else's deposit deadlines to review those of us with stats they'll have to "settle for" eventually.

I'm in the same position. I've been complete for 3 months and I don't know why they haven't rejected me yet haha. I'm at the bottom of their range in GPA but my lsat is several points below their bottom.

Re: USC 2010!
Yup.. I guess they're being "strategic," but they might have to settle for applicants with LSATs much lower than 1 point below their median if they keep holding out.. or maybe they'll easily fill their class with 167+philosoraptor wrote:Yep, still complete. finalaspects, your LSAT is very good for USC and I don't know why they would hold on to your application if there wasn't something compelling about it..

Re: USC 2010!
so both numbers are below median? you said lower range in GPA and several points below their 167 median LSAT? and are you URM? cause then it would be a surprise at all.sw10 wrote:
