Looking at another thread, http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 3&start=50, it appears there are three wait-lists. There's a special group, a preferred, and a regular. I assume that it's best to be in the special group. The regular, of course, is the bottom group.

I was put on the preferred waiting list. Stats are >75%. Non-URM male. I think people on the preferred generally are admitted. Georgetown is a solid back-up plan for a lot of folks on the top, so it makes sense that Georgetown keeps a long wait-list.

I will entertain the possibility of Georgetown, but I would say there's a <10% chance that I would accept an offer. So that's good news to you good folks in the regular group. It's an awesome school! And D.C. is a cool place to live. EDIT: Also a great place for con-law!

Dinged today. 173, 3.6. No interview. Expected maybe a wait list as YP but honestly caught off-guard by the straight rejection.

I'm very surprised by this. Maybe something wrong with your app?

When? So sorry :|
Late-ish yesterday. It's all good though, I just locked down an apartment close to GW.

And for those who asked for stats: 165 LSAT 3.2 GPA, Gtown Undergrad. I never expected to get in, but it was an $80 to appease the family.

So, I'm assuming you are in at GW?

Congrats!

Well, my app was good enough for Columbia, but I am having a very bizarre cycle so who knows.

Still sitting at UR1 2/14.
Went complete on 1/28.
No interview request.

At this point, should I just assume that this is a rejection?

No.

I suspect that they are trying to put the pieces together. Hang in there, and good luck.

Looking over the website, I just wanted to make sure for financial aid stuff (still as an applicant, not accepted) the only thing we can/should do is FAFSA right (and Needaccess if applying for grants)?

Had interview Friday and my date changed to 3/21. Ant other date change today; that's number four I think.

For those who were admitted before the last group of us (03/21), when did you receive info re: scholarship? I was wondering if it comes with the acceptance letter that is sent via snailmail after the email from Dean Cornblatt

OK, I misread my letter. I am in the special group of the preferred wait-list. It's a real thing, apparently.

Anyone get asked for an interview, but still have no word from the interviewer? It's been a month since I submitted my interview preferences. :x

Just got my snail mail acceptance letter after the subtle email. It's just a standardized small letter, like what everyone else got. No other information besides the acceptance. Not sure what the next step is to solicit for scholly, especially since Georgetown seemed to do a weird "tell us how much you want and why" essays.

I would contact Georgetown at this point. They should be able to pair you up with someone else...oh, and make sure you say you can do it over Skype, just in case they don't have someone in your area.

I just had my interview today; thinking it went well. I'm not sure how much influence our interviewers have over our applications, but by the end of the interview, she was saying things like "when you're at Georgetown...etc" and to call her for help with housing and whatnot. Crossing my fingers!

I have called twice. I checked all possibilities as preferences. (I.e. Skype, FaceTime, phone, in person. Lol) I think they just want to wait list me. I don't know. I sent my app in early. Even made a video. :| woe is me. But I will call again. Thanks.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
