Long-time lurker. Felt compelled to post as I am still awaiting a decision. Applied/Interviewed in January. Last complete date in February. Northwestern is a top choice for me.

That 6pm thing is imprecise. (I remember because I was home by 5:30 that day, and I knew my decision before I left work.) Keep refreshing.theramblingfool wrote:They actually just sent an email!!!!John Everyman wrote:So now what, we just chill until they upload our letter?

To let me know it'll be available at 6pm.
They must be sadistic over there at NU admissions.
Oh. And good luck y'all.

I'm confused as to what this means for those of us still at complete... Are they not looking at us anymore and turning their attention to int attorneys?outlawscr10 wrote:Johann @tweetsbyjohann 6m

Rejected. Northwestern Admissions, you've made yourselves a stupid mistake.
Good day to the rest of you, I hope you all get into your top choices.

Held!
Mixed emotions:
On one hand, so glad to not be rejected and to have a chance to "prove myself" further to Northwestern (my #1 school).
On the other, I've been waiting for three months for this? Why not tell me I was held sooner so that I could have had my held essays/videos in by April 2 instead of the new deadline of April 22?
Just a lot of thoughts/feels.

It's not. I called admissions and was told there is no hard deadline for the held essays. They'll be reviewing held applicants during the first few weeks of april so Just try to get them in soon.luuma wrote:LOL!outlawscr10 wrote:To remain eligible for further review, please fill out the online response form as soon as possible but no later than April 2, 2014.

sounds very much like they have pretty much made up their minds. if and when we submit the held essays is inconsequential.str8yolked wrote:It's not. Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
actually it is international. the 2-Year JD for International Lawyers is for those with foreign law degrees. the Accelerated JD program (AJD) is a traditional JD program compressed into two school years and one summer. AJD is open to international students, too, but the 2YJD requires fewer credits. also, it looks like the 2YJD program starts in the fall, whereas the AJD program starts in May.magjag wrote:integral.NYC-WVU wrote:I will get burned if this is wrong, but I assume it's international.leigh912198972 wrote:outlawscr10 wrote:Johann @tweetsbyjohann 6m

Here I was thinking it stood for "interesting" attorneys!
Silly me. There are none of those.

I was held in March too. Just wondering what the tipping point is. If people got held today, why couldn't we find out? Some held today will probably get accepted/waitlisted over some held from March.
