Long-time lurker. Felt compelled to post as I am still awaiting a decision. Applied/Interviewed in January. Last complete date in February. Northwestern is a top choice for me.

That 6pm thing is imprecise. (I remember because I was home by 5:30 that day, and I knew my decision before I left work.) Keep refreshing.

Mixed emotions:
On one hand, so glad to not be rejected and to have a chance to "prove myself" further to Northwestern (my #1 school).
On the other, I've been waiting for three months for this? Why not tell me I was held sooner so that I could have had my held essays/videos in by April 2 instead of the new deadline of April 22?

Just a lot of thoughts/feels.

It's not. I called admissions and was told there is no hard deadline for the held essays. They'll be reviewing held applicants during the first few weeks of april so Just try to get them in soon.

sounds very much like they have pretty much made up their minds. if and when we submit the held essays is inconsequential.

actually it is international. the 2-Year JD for International Lawyers is for those with foreign law degrees. the Accelerated JD program (AJD) is a traditional JD program compressed into two school years and one summer. AJD is open to international students, too, but the 2YJD requires fewer credits. also, it looks like the 2YJD program starts in the fall, whereas the AJD program starts in May.

I was held in March too. Just wondering what the tipping point is. If people got held today, why couldn't we find out? Some held today will probably get accepted/waitlisted over some held from March. Maaaannnn
