I don't suppose there is a way to cheat and get into the admitted student portal before you receive the letter (like with NYU)?

I am starting to really hate this. Just went in review 4/1 (from 1/26, my 4th or 5th in review date).
Also a sub 3.0, 170+ URM splitter.

On the bright side, visiting a midwestern school today that is giving me a ton of money and it is pretty sweet. If it weren't for the cold, i'd stop caring about sc.

It's around 75 or so on the beach today, so it must be close to 90 at SC

From the waitlist FAQ:

5. What are the statistics regarding the number of applicants accepted from the waitlist?
Typically, we maintain a waitlist of approximately 400-600 candidates. It is difficult to predict how
many offers will be made from the waitlist each year. Offers over the past five years offers have
ranged significantly. Therefore, we are unable to predict how many offers of admission from the
waitlist will be made this summer. During the summer of 2010, we admitted 125 applicants from
the waitlist. Please keep in mind that many of these candidates did not matriculate at USC as
they had admissions offers elsewhere and had made alternative plans.

Is that a typo? That's like 2/3 of the class isn't it-although of course the vast majority of people admitted off the waitlist have probably begun settling in elsewhere, so it makes sense. But still. I guess since word on the street is USC doesn't do YP, they admit a lot of people off the waitlist, but who knows.

I hate to try and spot trends, but with so many acceptances, followed by a batch of WL, I fear this is a batch of denies.

Please please please be wrong.

There is no way to get into the admitted student portal until you receive the email containing your login information (your username is your student ID number).
