Still stuck on 12/3, submitted 11/16. I think 12/3 was my second or third update. One of my rec writers notified me that she got a letter from GULC thanking her for doing the rec, but she didn't indicate if it said anything about good news. Does GULC only do decisions on Mondays?

Yes. Congrats! You should receive the letter by the end of the week/early next week. Same thing happened to me last week and I was able to log in on Friday or Saturday, can't remember which.

figured as much! If they send them to every applicant's recommenders, wow that's a lot of emails. I will have to just keep waiting =)

Yeah, I have to say GULC's status checker is making me especially neurotic. Its the fact that it doesn't have "under review," so I'm just always wondering whats happening with my application. Is someone reading it right now? Is it at the bottom of a huge stack in GULC's basement? Did they burn it?

You obviously didn't apply to 'Bama. Their status checker still says my application is incomplete, I got an acceptance call today. I've found the checkers in general to be pretty worthless. But they drive me nuts nonetheless.

Congrats on the acceptance! I've been incomplete at Cornell for over a month now, that's probably the most maddening one for me. I'm not letting myself check my status there anymore. haha

Did any of you guys have interviews? That can hold up status date changes for awhile (I've been stuck since 11/30)

If I had to guess (because clearly I'm psychic and can channel the mind of adcoms) I'd say that the 11/22s are being held for a while to see how the class shapes up. I'm PT and extremely borderline so maybe they're just keeping me around until they say what their PT apps look like this year.

In reality, I predict that I will be rejected on February 6, 2011. Hopefully not a moment sooner

i do hope youre right about them holding on to us to see how the class shapes up though. alls i wants for christmas is a legitimate chance.
