ran and never looked back... of course now i'm paying for it, literally...over-priced business degree. thus why I need to be a lawyer.rockchalk86 wrote:You left KUnax425 wrote:join the club. they must have something against KU. i was there two years before i transferred to Belmont.rockchalk86 wrote:Me tookcord002 wrote:out of solidarity i also attempted to log in....no luckBut I am in the ED held crew so wishful thinking anyways.

Ha, ha! I hope not. I'm a KU grad and I'm in. I'll try to represent for KU!

Keep in mind that NYU seems to average LSATs more so than other top schools. just a FYI

Re: NYU 2010
I flew back from Philly to watch the Final Four in Lawrence. The UNC blowout (and Mass St. aftermath) convinced me that I needed to finish up my degree. And so, I returned to KU.rockchalk86 wrote:I just feel bad that you missed the 08 celebration on mass st. after Chalmers hit the greatest shot of all time
I'm also waiting for a purple envelope. I hope that my 177 will let NYU forgive me for my 3.42.

I am blown away with the KU presence on this board right now. Those two nights were easily the greatest of my life.

Yeah, why do you want to leave Kansas? It's much better than NYC. I suggest you withdraw your applications now for no further consideration.rockchalk86 wrote:I am blown away with the KU presence on this board right now. Those two nights were easily the greatest of my life.
Was that too obvious?

Haha don't worry I'm probably not getting in (although if I luck out I will withdraw from every other school immediately and put my deposit down asap).nax425 wrote:Yeah, why do you want to leave Kansas? just a status check and asking for a timeframe on the next batch of admissions... last time it took approx. 1-2 weeks to get an acknowledgement of receipt on my LOCI. i'm not holding my breath.Kakarot wrote:Seriously? Re: NYU 2010
I'm thinking of bugging the admissions office a bit myself. I applied 5 months ago, so it is really unbelievable that I haven't gotten a decision yet. Unless they are constantly reviewing my app, and are so difficultly debating whether or not I should get in, and cannot come to any sort of agreement, then there is no reason for it to take this long for anyone who went out of their way to make sure to apply early.

I don't think me bugging them is going to necessarily speed things up, but maybe they'll say something surprising, like "a batch of admissions will be issued this friday, the 19th" or something like that. throw me a bone. I'm just tired of being in the dark.dakatz wrote:I'm thinking of bugging the admissions office a bit myself. I applied 5 months ago, so it is really unbelievable that I haven't gotten a decision yet. They wouldn't even acknowledge mine. I got an email saying essentially that they refuse to do so. It sort of makes me nervous.nax425 wrote:last time it took approx. 1-2 weeks to get an acknowledgement of receipt on my LOCI. i'm not holding my breath.

Re: NYU 2010
Yeah, I called up a week ago, and they were like "oh there is no decision on your file yet". Makes me wonder just how long they can drag this out. Either they have just completely swept my file under the rug, or they really are having trouble deciding whether or not to admit me. I sure hope its the latter, because that would mean I'm at least in contention. It would be a lot worse if they decided to reject me ages ago, but just haven't gotten around to sending out the letter.nax425 wrote:I don't think me bugging them is going to necessarily speed things up, but maybe they'll say something surprising, like "a batch of admissions will be issued this friday, the 19th" or something like that. throw me a bone. Re: NYU 2010
I'm a very borderline URM candidate. Most T-14's decided to just reject or WL me, though I did get into Chicago, which is the only thing giving me hope that I will get into NYU.nax425 wrote:are you borderline numbers?dakatz wrote:Yeah, I called up a week ago, and they were like "oh there is no decision on your file yet". Re: NYU 2010
then i think u should consider yourself in the running. otherwise they'd have outright rejected you by now. good luck!
update: I called cuz I didn't want to wait. theres no decision on my file either. still "with the committee." should be "hearing from them soon." when i asked whether or not she expected a new batch of admits this friday, the 19th, she paused...sounded like i maybe caught her off guard...and then said "possibly."
of course I could be reading into nothing.
