Inquired as to whether merit aid was available for WL folks. They said no. Thought this might be relevant for some people

WL via status checker. No email yet. Super late app (applied on deadline 3/7) so honestly surprised it's not a rejection. LSAT > 75th GPA between 25th and 50th.
ETA: Just received email. Still trying to wrap my head around the "all past is prologue" thing lol.

Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
Sorry about the WL, but I'm so baffled at how UVa admissions office operates. I'm also >75th LSAT and b/w 25th and 50th GPA (lower LSAT/higher GPA than you), and have been at radio silence for five months now. If there weren't that one guy sitting at radio silence since 9/16 (and another from October, I believe), I'd be going completely insane. At this point I just want my rejection.shineoncrazydiamond wrote:WL via status checker. No email yet. Super late app (applied on deadline 3/7) so honestly surprised it's not a rejection. Ugh I'm so sorry to hear that. That amount of waiting would drive me nuts. I hope you hear something (good!) soon! I don't even try to understand how admissions timelines or decisions work anymore, there don't seem to be a lot of discernible patterns this cycle.justakicker wrote:Sorry about the WL, but I'm so baffled at how UVa admissions office operates. Finally got WL as well. This is the only application that I feel was a waste of $30 lol, no point riding a WL for the pleasure of paying sticker

Does this mean interview? Or they have questions about my application? I think waiting for too long has got me to think too much.....

Sounds like an interview to me! Or they found out about your money laundering via the panama papers.ohthatjenn wrote:"I’d like to set up a time to discuss your UVA Law application. "

Definitely an interview, but pretty casual. They sent an email to me saying the exact same thing on 3/25, I did a skype call on 3/28, and (not to get your hopes up too high just in case) got in via status checker later that day.

Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
It's an interview. I got the same email last week. Congrats and don't stress about the interview too much. It was by far the most laid back interview I've had in any of my admissions. No strange questions or curveballs...seems they just want to get to know you as an applicant better and answer any questions you have about UVA. Good luck!ohthatjenn wrote:"I’d like to set up a time to discuss your UVA Law application. "

Did everyone get in the same day as they interviewed? Because I interviewed this morning and didn't get in today. Kind of freaking out now.

Re: UVA c/o 2019 Applicants (2015-2016)
So, weird situation here.
I was invited by Jason Dugas to do a phone interview on March 2. He asked for my availability for the following week, and I provided it shortly after his initial e-mail. He never replied to the e-mail re: my availability, so I sent another follow-up e-mail the following week. I never heard back.
I've sort of moved on because I'm fairly set on Penn at this point, but I'm just curious if anyone else had this happen to them.

I just checked my status checker out of habit with no exceptions of a date change and I'm finally under review!! That's 1/7 -> 4/6.

Got in several days after my interview. Was in the same position you are (freaking out bc others reported same-day acceptances) but should not have worried about it. It's over now- if you did your best, don't beat yourself up about it!theclash82 wrote:Did everyone get in the same day as they interviewed? Because I interviewed this morning and didn't get in today.
