Re: In at NYU!!
I took the LSAT at NYU and leaving the test I remember thinking "Whelp, this is the last time I'll ever be in this building..."
Checked my PO Box this morning, Purple Rain.
I am beyond happy

Re: In at NYU!!
I did some serious searching this morning and found nothing, so I guess we have to wait some more. My parents are starting to get angry about all these forms. I think they thought they were done with them once I graduated UG.jacosta6 wrote:Dtackpat75 wrote:Anybody have access again to the institutional aid application that was supposed to be added back on as of today? I've been looking for the application too. It looks like they changed the access date to mid to late February.

Re: In at NYU!!
What do people think about multi-year leases for apartments in NYC?
I went to UG in the city and I know from when I was considering to live off-campus back in the day that rent prices were a lot higher around 2 years ago. Although rents are currently pretty ridiculous by most non-NYC standards, my observations from advertisements online makes me believe that there are much better deals right now as a result of the down economy. My only concern is that market prices might move up on me during my 2L and 3L year as the economy (hopefully) improves. As a result, I was thinking I would try to go for a 2 or 3 year lease since I know I'll be in the city for at least that long if I end up at NYU.
Any thoughts on this from people who are familiar with the NYC rental market?

Do multi-year, as someone that currently leaves in NYC, prices have gone down, not significantly tho, but usually if you are renting directly from the owner, and not a company, they might be a bit frustrated with not being able to rent out the apt at the price that they hope and are more inclined to negotiating the price down.

Re: In at NYU!!
I just got an email from an NYU grad who also went to the same UG as me asking if I had any questions about the school. I think NYU has been really good about sending follow-up stuff with nice personal touches--it just makes me love them more.

Re: In at NYU!!
I applied early december and heard back in late december, hearing back from NYU first has made all the other acceptances less exciting, but I've gotten comfortable with the idea of NYU so I thought I would come say hi to everyone! I'm still waiting for a few schools and I'm not 100% but like I said, I'm getting pretty comfortable with the school, although I have never visited NYC and it would be a BIG change for me. Anyway, hello to all, and congrats!

I also got an e-mail today from an NYU alum that went to my undergrad and wanted to know if I had any questions. He even gave me his phone number! I think the whole "alumni contacting prospective students" is a very nice touch.

I haven't heard from any alum, but there probably aren't many/any from my UG.

It's like an unofficial Stanford UG-NYU Law thing hosted by a 2L who went to Stanford UG. The Feb. 22 thing is for all admitted students in the Bay Area I think.SR86 wrote:What's on Thursday? Does anyone know when they let us know who has been invited to interview for the Law Scholars programs? I'm not talking about the named scholarships like the RTK here, but for these: http://www.law.nyu.edu/admissions/jdadm ... /index.htm

Don't you have to fill out the institutional aid application before they consider you? Maybe I'm wrong about that.crackberry wrote:Does anyone know when they let us know who has been invited to interview for the Law Scholars programs? I think so, but is there a date on which they close that? Then what is the answer to my question?aad wrote:Don't you have to fill out the institutional aid application before they consider you? Late to the thread, but I got the purple envelope earlier this week after accessing the admitted students site last Thursday.
I live in NYC, so I'll be attending the March 4/5 ASW. Anyone else?

Re: In at NYU!!
so..whats the story on the dean's scholarship? Anyone else get invited to apply? If I just filled out the application for merit aid only on the financial aid website, that's the form they mention in the invite letter, right?
