Any (educated) guesses on timing of regular decisions?

Well, that's certainly informative. I wonder if it means they are sending out everything on that date, or that we will be receiving it around then; LSN from last year shows people actually receiving their decisions on the 15th.ersh1428 wrote:I just spoke with a very helpful woman in the admissions office.
They'll be snail-mailing out all information for those who applied ED on the 14th or 15th of this month. This not only means the ED result, but also whether we have subsequently been admitted as part of the regular decision pool.
Additionally, she said that these packages would include alternative scholarship information for those who would be receiving any.
So, I guess now we know exactly when, how, and what to expect.

Wait?! GW has a status checker?! I never got that, I've only received one e-mail from them telling me that my application was complete and that GW was now beginning the review process, about a month after I submitted.

Edit: I just didn't read far enough back .. people were trying to log into the admitted students site, not a status checker. Sorry for my confusion.

RD Applicant here... 171 (retake score) and 3.75 GPA. I called today to enquire about my status, and spoke to a very nice member of the admissions staff. I was told that I'd most likely hear a decision within the next three weeks. So, I imagine the first big RD wave might be very soon

Hi All,
I've been admitted, RD. They sent a big envelope with a deep blue interior envelope, a letter with a hand-written note, a couple of sheets with basic info (forms and the like) and a viewbook. I'm in the DC area, so I got the mail quickly.
Good Luck all!

From what they sent: "Students may be notified at any time after their admission of their selection for merit-based scholarships."jlue05 wrote:Was scholarship info included?arb44 wrote:Hi All,

Nothing about a scholarship in mine; wish there was. I would like an alternative to the full cost of tuitions I am looking at everywhere right now.

A question, if you don't mind, did it arrive at your current or permanent address?
Can't say I'm not jealous, that's excellent news!

Re: The George Washington Law School 2010
So I just received an e-mail with the title "GW Law Welcomes You!" and it is from a 1st year student...and now I'm SO confused and nervous! I applied ED, have not received anything saying that I was deferred to RD or anything. The e-mail includes a link to sign into the Accepted Students Portal, but my info doesn't let me log in. I'm wondering if the e-mail was an error? Either a total mistake or it wasn't supposed to be sent this early? Did anyone else get this? I am so confused and trying to not get my hopes up in case it was a mistake. Anyone have any insight??

Yep. End of the week I believe. But I think someone posted earlier that they were going to snail mail the results, so who knows when we actually get the decision.jk11287 wrote:i guess this is the week for all the rest of us ED apps.

Did they snail mail last year? Everyone on LSN posted the same date, 1/15 from last year, but I can't imagine why they'd email decisions last year and revert back to reg. mail this year...CyLaw wrote:Yep. Does anyone know how GWU decides about PT? I am almost positive I am out FT (unless they really like my OS and PS), but I am hoping I have a shot at PT...thoughts?
