sigh, i'm still working on my applications =/
but i did hear that a friend got into NU already... has no one here gotten any decisions yet? (perhaps that friend lied then)

Is it presumptuous to think that if no one on TLS or LSN was accepted ED, that acceptances have yet to be issued?

I mean, last year there were only two that were accepted ED on LSN, and rejections/deferrals/waitlists came out much later.

I don't think this is the case, but there is a chance.

I think the distinction between 12/31 and 1/4 is inconsequential. That is maybe one day of work? And that is assuming that the admissions office is open over winter recess.

edit: obviously there is a distinction for the applicant, who would gladly use the New Years holiday for celebration/drinking one's sorrows away.

Your admission decision will be provided to you through the Status Check page. Once a decision on your application has been made, you will receive an email with instructions on how to retrieve the decision from the Status Check page.

Not sure, but FWIW Jan 4th was always the date that stood out in my mind as the ED decision deadline. Was there previous material suggesting it was the 31st?

Also, I've told tons of people that I'll know "by the end of the year" or "by the end of December." Hopefully I won't have to interact with too many of them between 1/1 and 1/4, or hopefully they won't remember. It's not the time, it's the expectation. I'll still go to Northwestern if they admit me off the waitlist in the summer.

And yes, it used to be Dec 31st. The email I got receiving my ED app said Dec 31 and I posted it early on in this thread.
