Thanks everyone I am so thrilled. My hands were shaking on that phone call and I can hardly explain the feeling I have right now. I'm walking on air.
I'll update my original post with numbers, submit dates, etc. in a few minutes.

I am so jealous. My numbers are higher than some of the people they've taken so far, AND I wrote them a special, "I love you Stanford" essay. Please???????????

well this is the first day of acceptances, and their admissions office has only been open about an hour probably, so i wouldn't give up hope just yet.hermione0901 wrote:I am so jealous. Then again, I made a thread complaining about not getting a JR2...

+1. It's called: soofffftttttts. Stanford is one of the schools smart enough to not care about two missed questions on the LSAT (difference from 171 to 173).5ky wrote:Personally, I find this to be in poor taste.hermione0901 wrote:I am so jealous. Re: Stanford 2010!!!
Congratulations to all who have been accepted!
Based on the few data points on LSN, it looks like all the acceptances so far applied in September and went complete in October. I did not apply until mid-November and I was not complete until Thanksgiving, so I doubt I even have a chance of getting a call anytime soon.

Dignan, your TTT LSAT score will undoubtedly keep you out of Stanford.

CALL FROM DEAN DEAL. I AM IN!!!!
Submitted: 9/23.
Complete: 10/2.
Accepted: 12/11.
Phone call from Dean Faye Deal was from "Unknown Number" and she said an admission packed was in the mail. I live in SF so should be getting it tomorrow or Monday at latest.
I have good - but not blow-you-out-of-the-water - softs: editor of college newspaper, helped found an environmental non-profit in DC. I think my PS was pretty good and I had good recs.
My real stats: 161/169, 3.92.
SLS Index is 3.4.

Sorry guys, not tying to be in poor taste, and I'm super proud of the people who got in. My fiance is in CA, and I'm somewhat desperate for this school. Distance relationships suck, and Stanford is amazing. My tact filter has officially dropped away, somewhere between the panic at finding out they're making calls and the lack of sleep from finals.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
Yeah. As much as I love Berkeley, I think the old joke is true:
Q: What do Cal students and Stanford students have in common?
A: They both got in to Cal.
P.S. I'm also crossing my fingers. Going to send an additional letter of recommendation, update my transcripts, I got two things published this semester, etc. Hoping everything will combine to put me over the edge. Needless to say I don't expect an acceptance in early December.

Congrats Crack!! I'm sooo jealous.
Next, a to-do list for you:
1. Withdraw from Berkeley and free up a spot for us
2. Withdraw from Harvard so I have an additional 0.0001% chance of getting a JR1.
2. Withdraw from UCLA and free up da money!
3. Withdraw from USC so others might actually have a shot at the Rothman scholarship
The list goes on, but I guess this would be a good start.

Re: Stanford 2010!!!
+1. I also have a significant other in California. The last two years have been very tough and I don't want to extend it howevermany years longer. She's in LA, and I didn't apply to any schools in Los Angeles because I feel like I should "meet my potential," so I am pretty desperate for Stanford or Berkeley with some sort of scholarship to make it more attractive than NYU, Columbia, etc.hermione0901 wrote:Sorry guys, not tying to be in poor taste, and I'm super proud of the people who got in. Consider 1, 3 and 4 already done. I may stay in at Harvard (and Yale, if I ever decide to apply, which, admittedly looks unlikely at this point) just to see what happens.hopefulincal wrote:Congrats Crack!! I'm sooo jealous.

Those might not be blow-you-out-of-the-water softs for, say, Yale, but they're damn good softs, I think.crackberry wrote: I have good - but not blow-you-out-of-the-water - softs: editor of college newspaper, helped found an environmental non-profit in DC. Congratulations. It's really cool to see someone get their absolute first choice, especially after having serious doubts about getting accepted.
