Accepted! Applied 11/16, interviewed 11/19, accepted 12/2. LSAT >> 75%, GPA = median.

If you're asking about 1Ls, definitely not. You aren't allowed to apply most places until December 1st. If you're asking about 2Ls, I think their class is faring pretty well.nerdylsat wrote:Do people have summer associate gigs lined up? Re: WUSTL C/O 2020 (2016-2017) Applicants
I was deferred from ED too and got my acceptance a few hours after the deferral emailsjs12 wrote:Hi all! Reverse splitter here with a couple of questions.
Does anyone have experience with a deferral to regular admissions from the early decision program? I applied early decision because I figured why not, but I knew I wouldn't get it as my LSAT score is low (3.92/163). However, I did want the committee to know that Wash U is my number 1 choice and if accepted, I'd put the deposit down that day, ha. I applied 11/16, interviewed on 11/30, received the deferral on 12/1. Anyone have experience with this and know when I should expect a decision by?
Unfortunately, my dad passed away this fall and I withdrew from the December test due to the obvious distraction there + lack of time to study due to family obligations. I plan to retake in February because I KNOW I can do better. My practice tests were much higher and I have never had an issue with doing well on standardized testing. If I get in with little to no money (which is what I am thinking will happen after my interview), is it common to retake the test after an acceptance to try to negotiate for more scholarship money?
Other tidbits of information: my interview went very well. She did ask about my LSAT score and I explained my dad's illness and subsequent passing, etc. along with the fact that due to those factors I believe my GPA and work experience are much better indicators of my potential as a law student and lawyer. She told me not to worry about it because my application was very strong. I also have several "softs" as I've heard them called: a personal connection to the law school, strong personal statement, and a very strong resume with a lot of experience in politics.
If anyone has any insights about my two questions I would be forever grateful!

As a former teacher, let me say this: the only stupid question is the one to which you already have the answer.tinafeyclone wrote:yo the sass level is unreal take it down a notchvcap180 wrote:Haha I mean all you need to do is literally scroll one or two pages to see millions of dollars in scholly money dispersed in this thread.Long shot hero wrote:The audacityvcap180 wrote:Loltinafeyclone wrote:Has anyone been offered scholarship money yet?
You already had the answer in front of you, with minimal work. Not sass, just facts.

I saw the posts about scholarship offers in September/early October but also saw posts about going 4+ weeks without offers even with strong numbers. so no, i didn't think the answer was clear cut.88234 wrote:As a former teacher, let me say this: the only stupid question is the one to which you already have the answer.tinafeyclone wrote:yo the sass level is unreal take it down a notchvcap180 wrote:Haha I mean all you need to do is literally scroll one or two pages to see millions of dollars in scholly money dispersed in this thread.Long shot hero wrote:The audacityvcap180 wrote:Loltinafeyclone wrote:Has anyone been offered scholarship money yet?

People get tired of answering the same questions over and over and over and over.....tinafeyclone wrote:I saw the posts about scholarship offers in September/early October but also saw posts about going 4+ weeks without offers even with strong numbers. so no, i didn't think the answer was clear cut.88234 wrote:As a former teacher, let me say this: the only stupid question is the one to which you already have the answer.tinafeyclone wrote:yo the sass level is unreal take it down a notchvcap180 wrote:Haha I mean all you need to do is literally scroll one or two pages to see millions of dollars in scholly money dispersed in this thread.Long shot hero wrote:The audacityvcap180 wrote:Loltinafeyclone wrote:Has anyone been offered scholarship money yet?

I'm sitting at 10/4. feel you.kiwi50 wrote:It's weird to see so much movement on this thread, while my current status date indicates 9/20/2016. I literally applied in September and no movement. I've already gotten interviews at Columbia/ UChicago, and have gotten into UMichigan, Duke, and others.

Wait didn't someone here say before that WUSTL's status checker never changes to "UR" or even "Complete?"
I've been at "Application Documents Received" since 11/8...

Mine says "Application Under Review" since 11/14Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Wait didn't someone here say before that WUSTL's status checker never changes to "UR" or even "Complete?"

And at the top of the checker, it says: "Your application has been sent to the Admissions Committee to be reviewed. There are several stages of review. Over time, you may notice that the current status date will change even though your current status does not. These changes are not associated with the Committee’s decision. It is the Admissions Office policy not to post final decisions on the status check page..."

Same. Seems like people are getting interview requests inside a week or two typically. My app has also been updated multiple times (LSAT, new LOR) and still nothing. strange.kiwi50 wrote:Oh ok. Maybe it doesn't change then! But I've still gotten no communications from them, even though I applied in September.

Your application is under review by our Admissions Committee..+ exactly what you said"hammy393 wrote:Mine says "Application Under Review" since 11/14Thomas Hagan, ESQ. wrote:Wait didn't someone here say before that WUSTL's status checker never changes to "UR" or even "Complete?"
