Can you submit a Why Tex with the app? Or do they just take the ones they solicit? I don't see a spot for it on the app.

So, yesterday I emailed admissions a PDF of my Why Texas essay (even though they never asked for one LOLOL). They never replied, though. Is that weird/do you think that means they won't consider the extra document?

FYI: Complete 11/22 and haven't heard anything since.

I've been complete since 11/22 too, but I'm a Tex res. Looking at mylsn there hasn't been that many people who went complete after 11/20 and got a decision. I only see 4 people, with 3 of them being rejections.

Maybe we're all waitlisted? Maybe the admissions is just doing whatever they please?

When I check my status, it says that my application is under review.

True, true. I've sort of given up for this application cycle though, but it's hard to get the motivation to study for the LSAT again.

Sure! LSAT right below median and GPA>75th. Pretty surprised I got in. Figured waitlist at best since I submitted mid-October

I had a paragraph about why I wanted to go to UT included in my personal statement but do you think at this point its worth submitting an unsolicited why texas as a separate doc?

I did the same thing with my PS, wasn't asked with the other OOS Why Texas requests, and then got an acceptance a while later. They may be taking your PS as your Why X.

I know I mentioned in this thread a while ago that UT hadn't made decisions for most applicants who submitted in mid-Nov (based on info from LSN) Seeing that you just got the email and you applied on the 21st makes me believe we might be seeing some decisions for us who applied mid-Nov early December.

I submitted 11/14 and got a Why Texas request last week so it seems like mid-Nov/early December decisions should be coming sooner rather than later

So this morning I received an email inviting me to join the admitted students group. No other email. No change in status checker. I notified them some time ago that I wouldn't be accessible by phone for a few months, but... whadya think? Is there an acceptance voicemail waiting for me, or are they just toying with my emotions here?
