Did anyone from regular waitlist hear anything yet?

Utter silence. I recently sent in a "continued interest email" and got no reply.jsylkpd wrote:Did anyone from regular waitlist hear anything yet?

Silence as well. I don't think they've even looked at the regular waitlist yet - I bet they're still making their way through the PWLWaitWaitDontSay wrote:Utter silence. I wonder how many people say that they aren't interested anymore. I feel like it's a very small minorityAnonnonnon wrote:Silence as well. Would a visit help at this point? They don't do any more information sessions or guided tours...

I'm on special preferred and received two feeler calls a couple weeks ago, but have heard nothing since. Good or bad sign?

I am on PWL and visited last week. It doesn't appear to have helped at all.milhouse_vanhouten wrote:Would a visit help at this point? They don't do any more information sessions or guided tours...

I'm sure there are people though who say they are interested and committed, and once they receive an offer balk at the prospect of having to pay the full price of admission.FatApollo wrote:I wonder how many people say that they aren't interested anymore. I got rejected two days after receiving the feeler email. They're fast.

I don't mean to pile on, but did you respond favorably to the feeler email?

Re: Georgetown Wait-List 2015-2016 (Class of 2019)
I had already sent a LOCI and told them I will definitely attend. But I'm an international so it's hard to infer anything.I wanted to send you another quick e-mail update on the waitlist situation at Georgetown. Our class is still currently oversubscribed, but these things do sometimes have a way of changing quickly. We're monitoring the class on a daily basis in case things do change.
Your placement on the Waiting List reflected our confidence in the strength of your application. At this time, however, we have received deposits from more applicants than we have seats available in the first year class. Consequently, we are unable to extend an offer of admission to you this year.
We appreciate your interest in our program and wish you success in your future endeavors.

Ahh totally misread the other post. It's weird that they started off with that kind of paragraph/tone/these things have a way of changing quickly. I'm also surprised they did this before their 2nd deposit deadline...cybersoyuz wrote:I had already sent a LOCI and told them I will definitely attend. For what it is worth, I got an email back to the LOCI I sent Friday. I know we sort of stopped getting replies at one point.

I tend to send one around every update. I have sent four so far. Three were more detailed (Why Gtown, Program interest, Updated work experience) The fourth was more or less a few sentences reaffirming my commitment to Gtown.ls2k16 wrote:How often are you sending at this point?Law2511 wrote:For what it is worth, I got an email back to the LOCI I sent Friday. That feeling when you get the GULC wait-list video message from the Dean and you feel your soul slowly withering away because you have to keep waiting..
