Finally got my acceptance/offer from UC Davis yesterday. I've already signed my SIR with UCI, but I'm wondering if they will be open to negotiation since Davis' $$ offer was higher. Anyone have experience with this??

Yup. I negotiated with them using an offer from Davis despite already signing my SIR and they upped their offer.

Was that your first round of negotiation or second?

First and only round. I decided against asking for more since I felt their offer was fair even if they didn't completely match what Davis was offering based on my impressions from both schools' admitted students weekends.

Is anyone else still just waiting for a decision? I'm beginning to think UCI forgot about me!

I'm actually retaking to leverage the waitlist on some other schools. I'm thinking a retake couldn't hurt haha

I'm confused wasn't the seat deposit deadline the 15th, or do they give different dates?

I did not receive my notification and full aid information until after I had deposited at another school. I know there is no cost for the SIR but I felt uncomfortable holding a seat at multiple schools. They offered me a deadline of April 29th, rather than April 15th. Most schools seem to be able to accomodate, provided there is a reason and you are actually considering attending.

I was told there wouldn't be any WL movement until a least mid-May

I haven't received a decision at all yet. Anyone else or am I alone? I'm above the medians (can't remember by how much), so I'm a bit confused.

I haven't received an initial decision yet either, but I spoke with the admissions office yesterday and they said I should be hearing soon. I went complete 2/1
