Quick question, I already interviewed with VLS back in early November and thought it went really well but I havent heard anything back yet. My status checker hasnt moved either since 11/4 (before the interview). Im a bit of a splitter but am at the 75th for lsat? It doesnt sound like they are dinging me, it just sounds like they havent looked at my app. Any insight? Should I contact them? Maybe my interviewer forgot to submit my interview write up? Im just super confused.

We werent supposed to contact the admissions office to tell them we had conducted our interview were we? I filled out on the application that I had requested an interview but didnt have the date on it. Could that be the holdup?redsxfan2010 wrote:My status checker didn't move until it just went to decision letter. I'm in a super similar boat. Applied mid October, Interviewed early November, and haven't heard back. Also a splitter.cecrum wrote:Quick question, I already interviewed with VLS back in early November and thought it went really well but I havent heard anything back yet. Does vandy have strong opinions on candidates that opt out of the alum interview? Month and a half, above both 75ths, haven't heard anything.

Have a lot of people been sitting at "complete" for awhile? I just realized i'm at exactly 8 weeks since submitting, with an interview the first week of november.

Re: Vanderbilt University Law School c/o 2019 (2015-2016) Applicants
So, I have been admitted at some schools that are a bit lower ranking than Vandy, but have other perks (location, strong focus on my area of interest). Like many of you, I am getting a bit frustrated with the silence from Vandy admissions. I am also under some pressure from the VA to commit to a school as soon as possible. But, I fully appreciate the possibility of needing to ride the wait list if I want to go to Vanderbilt. It would be really easy to commit to one of those other schools, but I do not want to sell myself short or waste a valuable opportunity. I need to know what makes Vandy a better option, and why I should hold out for it. I have heard the admissions pitch, but I want to hear what you all think.
So, here are some questions for those of you who have your heart set on Vandy...
Why do you want to go there?
Are you only concerned with the ranking? ... Or, is there a more personal reason?
I am interested to hear your thoughts.

It has been an extremely slow cycle. I haven't heard anything from the majority of schools I applied to and I am above the 75th percentile LSAT for most of them. I just think admissions is taking their time.cecrum wrote:I was starting to, but it seems like a lot of people are having delays and little contactArticSnowPanther wrote:+1 - the more time passes with no response the more I fear the sad email / tiny envelopeWillpower wrote:What he said.JD116 wrote:Interview in mid-September, complete late September. I applied to 13 schools and have already been accepted at 8. Vandy seems to be unusually slow. It is comforting that it seems to be everyone and not just mebdb90 wrote:It has been an extremely slow cycle. Wow! 8/13 is impressive. I'm at 4/10 responses so far, Vandy not being one of those that responded yet; however, I didn't apply until later to some of them (end of Nov/Beginning of Dec).jumbo2016 wrote:I applied to 13 schools and have already been accepted at 8. You seem to be doing incredibly well so far (both GULC and Mich with your stats). Is there something special about your app?

Honestly not that I can tell lol. I have no idea what is going on. I never expected to get into those two! I go to a very competitive undergrad and have some decent internship and leadership experience for still being in undergrad but it's nothing out of the ordinary.cecrum wrote:jumbo2016 wrote:bdb90 wrote:I applied to 13 schools and have already been accepted at 8.
