They do not average LSATs. And on their website they say they look at the highest:stoopkid13 wrote:As a note, Harvard says they average LSATs, instead of just taking the higher score. LSAT need be taken only once. If you take the test more than once, all scores will be received but we will use the highest score in our evaluation.

I could have sworn Harvard said they averaged, but I stand corrected.Mack.Hambleton wrote:They do not average LSATs. Once schools started taking the highest, it was kind of like a domino effect because you'd be screwing yourself if you didn't

iirc the time between js1 invite and actual interview was much shorter (think 1-2 days) during the WL. so i feel like monday is the day we'll hear.trynalaw123 wrote:Earlier in the cycle with normal JS1's they seemed to give people notice about a week ahead of time, so if they do end up filling those slots I think they would definitely contact those lucky waitlisters this week.mernburg wrote:Maybe I'm being really hopeful but wouldn't the May 5th and 6th interview slots imply that they might contact some people at the end of this week? Or do they usually just give people a 1 day notice for the interview?mwonka wrote:
I can also watch this for you. Can confirm - a total of 9 interview slots appear to be open for May 5 & 6.
also because it would be kind of strange for them to start interviewing people off the WL even before their own commitment deadline, no?

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
Maybe they already heard back from enough admits to be able to get a sense of what they need from the waitlist? They always take at least some people from the waitlist so I am not ruling this week out yet. It would also be kind of weird if they gave people less than 24 hours to prepare for an interview, right?qwertyTLS wrote:iirc the time between js1 invite and actual interview was much shorter (think 1-2 days) during the WL. so i feel like monday is the day we'll hear.trynalaw123 wrote:Earlier in the cycle with normal JS1's they seemed to give people notice about a week ahead of time, so if they do end up filling those slots I think they would definitely contact those lucky waitlisters this week.mernburg wrote:Maybe I'm being really hopeful but wouldn't the May 5th and 6th interview slots imply that they might contact some people at the end of this week? i took a look at last year's thread around the beginning of may:

so it definitely could be a really quick turnaround - i wouldn't rule out monday as the first day we heararis_tls wrote:Hi, I received JS1 invitation yesterday and just finished an interview today. It was conducted by Danielle Early. She asked several general questions like the interested area of law, why law school, and why now. Besides, she was interested in our current plans about law school

well you made it on the wait list which is the hard part, and on the waitlist numbers matter less because often they've already got their medians so they're just going to take people they like/URMs

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
That is true! HLS acceptance rate is 17% and the chance of getting in off the waitlist (as calculated by TLS) is 23.7%. So rest easy guys, the hard part is truly behind us =)Mack.Hambleton wrote:well you made it on the wait list which is the hard part, and on the waitlist numbers matter less because often they've already got their medians so they're just going to take people they like/URMs
(I'm not trying to be shitty, I really do think everyone here should feel awesome about getting this far, your phrasing just made me laugh.)

Re: Harvard Law School c/o 2018 Waitlist
This may be naive but didn't they say they will begin reviewing the waitlist in late May? Why would we think they would be doing anything next week?

And waitlist movement for H has typically been right after the deposit deadline (or commitment deadline)
