Re: Fordham University School of Law C/O 2018 Applicants
Accepted yesterday around noon EST via email, with a follow-up email right after with scholarship information in a PDF, except it came in as a .dat file type (wtf is that?!) and I can't open it! I called today to see if they could re-send but they are already closed until Tuesday for Easter as they are a Jesuit school!! Now I can sit around for the next 4 days and fantasize the amount.
C'mon, Fordham, Jesus wants you to tell me how much I'm worth.
Good luck to those still waiting !!

Congrats!! a little jealous you even received the scholarship email so quickly after, but how funny they sent it in a weird format. If I were you I would just imagine it being full tuition haha
Anyone going to ASW or know if they offer travel stipends?

I had the same problem. I was using a "@mail.com" account and forwarded it to my gmail account. Somehow gmail opened it as a PDF and showed my amount.WhatCouldHaveBeen wrote:Accepted yesterday around noon EST via email, with a follow-up email right after with scholarship information in a PDF, except it came in as a .dat file type (wtf is that?!) and I can't open it! No shot that I'm getting my decision before the April 15th deposit deadline...

I'm starting to feel this way also, which is so discouraging/surprising considering I've been admitted to higher ranked and comparable schools with scholarships..m27 wrote:No shot that I'm getting my decision before the April 15th deposit deadline...

Is anyone admitted on 4/1 or earlier still waiting for scholarship information? How long is the average wait between acceptance notification and scholarship notification?

Emailed admissions about this. Apparently, they don't even participate in the overlap reports. There's no penalty for multiple deposits.BB2014 wrote:does anyone know if Fordham is against depositing there and another law school?

Waitlisted 2/17; sent in LOCI and LOR from alum since then. Nothing as of yet. They won't start looking at WL until after 4/15.bleuscarlet wrote:WL applicants-- any news?

Even if I get admitted at this point, I probably won't even consider it unless they give me a full ride or something (which is extremely doubtful).

Does anyone know how diligent they are with their status checker? I applied mid-February, went complete 3/3, and have not had any change since. Is this normal/expected? I am wondering if I should email admissions to make sure and/or send in a LOCI.

Did you take the Feb 2015 LSAT? If yes, that 3/3 update was just the score being updated.

Yes I did. If 3/3 was just my score being updated, then it seems even more baffling that I still have not had any status change since then.storpappa wrote:LFCNY9 wrote:Does anyone know how diligent they are with their status checker? I cannot get over how rude and unprofessional the Assistant Dean is in his correspondence with accepted students.

Does anyone know how it works if you get accepted after the deposit deadline? Do they give you another deadline for deposit? At this point, I am going to have to send out a deposit at another school and if I get accepted to Fordham I will have to reconsider everything....JHP wrote:+1LFCNY9 wrote:I'm starting to feel this way also, which is so discouraging/surprising considering I've been admitted to higher ranked and comparable schools with scholarships..m27 wrote:No shot that I'm getting my decision before the April 15th deposit deadline...

I can't get over how insanely stressful this is...
I got into BU and BC with scholarship... even if I hear back from Fordham before 4/15 will I even have a chance to negotiate scholarships? I feel like once I put down that deposit I won't have much leverage.

Re: Fordham University School of Law C/O 2018 Applicants
Just left a campus tour. Wow, the inside of the building is so ugly. The cafeteria looks like the one from my middle school/the one from OITNB and the library is hideous. I also got a really weird vibe from the people so I'm definitely disappointed.
The assistant dean refused to reconsider my scholarship after I presented a much better offer from GW. His arrogant tone just added to the awkwardness of the email.
Withdrawing today.
