As discussed above, I really don't think Vandy YP's. Their acceptance rate was 34% last cycle, which is pretty high compared to similar schools.slurpy wrote:I'm getting so impatient... complete 11/3, interviewed 11/22, utter silence since then. Above LSAT 75th and above GPA median, but I don't think that really warrants a YP waitlist. I thought the interview went well, but I'm seeing so many acceptances of people who submitted after I did! Just a little disheartening.

Called again yesterday night and there is a package on its way to me from Nashville! woooo!hearsay77 wrote:It changed this morning...I'll try calling again tomorrow. Does Vandy have an ASW?

They usually have two, one in March, one in April IIRC.zz24 wrote:Does Vandy have an ASW?

How long has it normally taken between interviews and decisions? My application has been in for nearly a month, but I was unable to get my interview in until last Friday so I'm afraid that might have set me back awhile.

Decision mailed status as of yesterday. Nothing in Fedex via web or phone. Was pretty behind on getting my app in so missed the interview deadline. Gut says ding which is sad, I really wanted to see that admissions packet and VLS was a solid option. But it might be a pleasant surprise... who knows!

If this year is anything like last year, everything before January is an admit. Probably should look at least year's thread to confirm, but I seem to remember a wave of admits before any WLs were given out.

I'm a little offended, Vandy. While I like you and acknowledge that you're a good law school... it's also been over a month since you said you were going to send me a mere viewbook. I haven't received a vb or a status change, so now I wonder if you're mailing skills are indicative of the way you would treat me as a student there.
(and not to say I'm a at the top of your applicant pool... just saying, I keep my promises, why don't you... lol)
Ok still <3 you, Go 'Dores

Yeah my view book was supposedly mailed out 11/6, but just received it late last week, maybe 12/11.
And I haven't received a status change since 10/30 either.
I feel your pain.
Breaking my heart Vandy! Please send me that FedEx!

6 lb package from Nashville showing in Fedex Delivery Manager (by 2-day shipping; how classy is that?) this morning.
Decision mailed status was updated on 12/16 with package showing in Fedex sometime during the night of 12/18.
I.e. if you get decision mailed but nothing in Fedex don't panic right away. Give it 1-2 days and then panic.

Please have some patience with the technologically challenged here. How do I check to see if there's a FedEx package en route? I signed up for an account. Don't quite know what to do from there.

Did you select to be notified by email/text if you have a package coming your way?PN-G bamakid wrote:Please have some patience with the technologically challenged here. How do I check to see if there's a FedEx package en route? I signed up for an account. Don't quite know what to do from there.

Re: Vanderbilt c/o 2018 applicants
Congrats to everyone who has received acceptances!
Has anyone who has already received their acceptance package since received another package from Vanderbilt? My mail services contacted me today and told me that I have received another package from Vandy (my mail services is ridiculously incompetent and could be mixing it up with the other package, though). Only problem is that I have already left for home. I never received my viewbook for some reason. Don't want to send my school a prepaid package to send me a viewbook, for example, that I already have or something like that. Would appreciate any insight anyone has...

I literally had my viewbook (supposedly mailed a month prior) show up the day after my 2-day FedEx acceptance package arrived. Could definitely just be the viewbook.wsag826 wrote:Congrats to everyone who has received acceptances!

You want to access the Delivery Manager. If there's a package en route, it'll (eventually) show up there, and you can click on it to see shipping details, including package weight.PN-G bamakid wrote:Please have some patience with the technologically challenged here. Thanks to both of you...I think I am just going to leave it there and get it when I come back then. If per chance it's from another school-and not from Vanderbilt-I'm sure I will find out in time.rebexness wrote:It might be your viewbook. Mine took like a month to arrive.

Just did all that and it turns out it's sitting on the delivery truck somewhere between the local facility and my house right now. Couldn't be happier to finally get this!Flokkness wrote:You want to access the Delivery Manager. I think I'm in-- status checker says decision mailed and I just got a notice that a 6lb fedex package arrived to my building a few mins ago. Any idea whether scholarship info is included in package?

indvidual info was not included in mine, a flier giving dates for scholarship decisions was, however.vdh2102 wrote:I think I'm in-- status checker says decision mailed and I just got a notice that a 6lb fedex package arrived to my building a few mins ago. By the way, if anyone has gotten "Decision mailed" on the Vandy status checker and does not yet see a package on the way from FedEx, don't fret. Mine took 24 hours to show on the delivery tracker after my status changed. Hope springs eternal.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
