After you enter the password under Registration Information and Type it says "Attending" so...I guess we're attending? I don't see any other options on the page.Seoulless wrote:How do I register for this? I clink the link and type in the password, and then there are no other options.tincan678 wrote:I did. They sent it to the e-mail address listed in my application (which is different from the one in my LSAC profile).Seoulless wrote:Did everyone in DC area get the admissions reception email?

He and I have spoken about UVA and he (obviously) highly recommends it, so I want to use him in my "Why UVA" essay (particularly because I'm OOS and won't have visited by the time I apply). What's the proper protocol on referencing him? I feel like it may be gauche to name drop, but may be too weird to leave it as an anonymous cousin saying how great UVA is.

I'm confused. This seems contradictory. I should name him?Seoulless wrote:Chris McCandless wrote:I have a cousin that is an LLM candidate at UVA. He's your cousin and it would be weirder for you to name him than not name him. Name him.
I think what he meant was "weirder for you to not name him than name him"Chris McCandless wrote:I'm confused. This seems contradictory. There's a place on the app to name relatives at UVA outside of your Why UVA essay.Chris McCandless wrote:I'm confused. This seems contradictory. No interview. Admitted a few days after applying and got the $$$ offer like a week later. I think October applicants who got Dillards were seeing really quick turnaroundsHRomanus wrote:@Dillards - how long between completing, interviewing, and receiving?

I'm also sitting in that boat. I'm anticipating a WL/ding at this point.jawsjawsjaws wrote:Applied mid September and still no decision. Is this normal? At about 75th for GPA and LSAT.
Ugh. I did update my application with my Sept score so I'm hoping that's what's causing the delay right now. But it seems like there were some people on LSN who had similar numbers and submitted early and got accepted 3 months later so... Maybe it's not too hopeless.NoLieAbility wrote:I'm also sitting in that boat. I'm anticipating a WL/ding at this point.jawsjawsjaws wrote:Applied mid September and still no decision. Is this normal? I've also noticed that a lot of the admits interviewed with a different person than I did. Part of me wants to attribute the delay to that. I suspect there's a different reason, though.jawsjawsjaws wrote: Ugh. I did update my application with my Sept score so I'm hoping that's what's causing the delay right now. Let's try to be optimistic. Riding the cycle is already hard enough.NoLieAbility wrote:I've also noticed that a lot of the admits interviewed with a different person than I did. why wouldnt u apply lol. even if you don't want to go there you should apply for negotiation purposesw0w wrote:Anyone else just get an email invitation to a dinner in Austin (or elsewhere) next week? I've been on the fence about applying to UVA and this might've just pushed me over.

So, after two other people PMed me, all with good stats and all waiting for a response, I figured it might be worth it to ask...NoLieAbility wrote:I've also noticed that a lot of the admits interviewed with a different person than I did.
