Congrats to all the admits, and sorry to hear about some bad news for some of you. It is starting to become the busy season, but feel free to PM me or post in the C/O 2017 page (as well as Ask a Law Student threads) if you guys have any questions for current students.

Was just reading through last year's thread. I remember how happy and excited I was about 12 months ago.
Good luck!

Re: University of Texas C/O 18 Applicants
Can someone give me more information on how applying Early Decision will affect my application? 166/3.45 (2.89 after freshman year due to family illness and drastic upward trend after that) UT is definitely my first choice, which is why I felt comfortable applying ED but I am not sure that will be enough to help my application. Congrats to everyone admitted! I will be anxiously sitting by my phone until further notice

There's definitely a boost for EDing is what they seem to say. Since you're beneath both medians it may help push you over.

I'm pretty sure she's saying she already applied and is asking for predictions on how she'll do.bound wrote:The ED deadline was Nov 1.kfree wrote:Can someone give me more information on how applying Early Decision will affect my application? 166/3.45 (2.89 after freshman year due to family illness and drastic upward trend after that) UT is definitely my first choice, which is why I felt comfortable applying ED but I am not sure that will be enough to help my application. Does UT send out fee waivers?

Re: University of Texas C/O 18 Applicants
I know they waive the fee for all Texas residents. I saw some people reported waivers in the fee waivers thread, but I can't say if those were Texas residents or not.smiles123 wrote:Does UT send out fee waivers?
I'm pretty sure their waivers have already gone out for this cycle, though (or at least for post-Sept LSAT). I think most of them had a deadline for earlier this month.

Re: University of Texas C/O 18 Applicants
just a reminder with the all the ED talk as I don't think it was brought up ITT:
if you are out of state, I'd urge you to remove your ED app in favor of RD. UT has a university policy to charge their students only in-state tuition if they receive a scholarship of $1,000 or more (google it). In other words, beyond a small bump in your chance of being admitted, there is no real incentive to ED: you're (in all likelihood) going to pay in-state either way, and you won't be able to negotiate a bump if you do ED.

I'm not a TX resident and I received a fee waiver, so they do send them out. Don't know if they still are, though.jemthey17 wrote:I know they waive the fee for all Texas residents. Got a voicemail today saying that I've been accepted!!!!
PM me for stats or check some of the other TLS spreadsheets on the other threads in this forum.
Doing a weird jig in my chair cause I'm still at work and it's my first acceptance of my cycle!!!!

PS: What's the protocol for voicemail? Do I call back to thank them?

Congrats! I wouldn't call back, I'm sure they don't expect that.ChemEng1642 wrote:Got a voicemail today saying that I've been accepted!!!!
