Not likely. I'm waiting to see what the money offer will be. If it's substantive, I may have to think it through.
Good luck!!!

Thanks for clearing that up.

They are giving me 14 days (to receive the deposit! so would have to mail well before that date for the deposit check to arrive on time!) and you only get 5 days to complete the scholarship/finaid application which has two essays.

Sounds like they're taking cues from Georgetown re: financial aid application essays. Fun stuff.

Don't worry guys.
We're all on the waitlist, what's another day of waiting to confirm it going to hurt?

I am curious why, if all hold reviews were completed last week, we've seen no decisions today.

This is extremely frustrating. If they've made decisions on our applications, why aren't they releasing them? They have to know how much it sucks to wait for an answer, so I really don't understand why they're waiting to release our decisions. I'm kind of over it, to be honest.

I'm not on hold, but my thought is that they're waiting to see who in the class double deposited. I think schools find out on May 15th or so.

I had no clue schools had access to info about where else admits have deposited. Can anyone else confirm?

Yeah they do. But I'd be surprised if that's why they are holding decisions. Then again, idk.

LSAC sends notifications only to the schools you've deposited to, telling them where you've deposited. Some schools (not many) have strict rules saying they'll take away scholarship awards if you double deposit, and they use the LSAC system to enforce it. That's what USC does. I think Duke does something similar, but can't comment since I wasn't admitted there. For the rest of us, though, angling for schools that don't have such policies, this is a useful way to leverage our negotiations for more aid money. If you've only deposited at a couple schools they'll likely think you're seriously considering each deposited school.

Duh. I don't why I said what I said earlier. Acceptances off the WL do affect yield, though.

This is bullshit. I hope they're not just toying with our time, money, and emotions. Why put so many people on hold (my estimates come from the interview slots that were taken) to torment through uncertainty and wasted initiative? I needed to rant. I hope I'm wrong.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
