how long is it taking people to schedule interviews? i'm like 99% sure i requested mine 2 weeks ago, but i'm also like 99% sure i said "no" in the app and maybe that's why it is taking awhile i dont know

I requested one and it took longer than two weeks, so I called the admissions office. They said the alum they tried to contact hadn't responded, so they didn't have an interviewer ready. Admissions then reached out to a different alum who interviewed me only a couple days later.

Just had my interview! It went really well, the alum I met with was a really nice guy. Felt more like a conversation.

Are interviews given much weight or are they more of a tie-breaker type deal like softs?

Also, I'm assuming how long it takes to hear back following the interview varies depending on scores and stuff?

My interviewer told me the point of the interviews was to judge your interest in Vandy, and to 'basically make sure you aren't a crazy person and that you have some personality.'

Mine was the exact same--very conversational. I heard back within a week and a half of my interview, but I'm assuming it varies. Good luck!

When you say you heard back, do you mean your status changed to decision made? Or that the decision actually arrived that quickly? Just curious

Both. It changed to decision made within a week and a half of the interview, and I got accepted the next day.

From creeping on the earlier posts it sounds like you are better off calling and asking. I think for the account you have to have the tracking number?

I didn't sign up for an interview...how much worse are my chances? I'm an international applicant from Canada...not sure if they would have had an interviewer near my city anyways

Did you sign up for Delivery Notifications? It took mine sometime to refresh and show me a package. Also, mine didn't go out until 5ish the day my checker went to Decision Mailed, so I wouldn't be worried yet!

It took a full day after I went "Decision Mailed" for Fedex to have the package in the system. Don't stress, try calling back tomorrow morning!

Oh man, you just calmed some nerves for me. It's 5pm and there's still nothing; I am getting really nervous. Mylsn.info reports that every decision during Nov./Dec. in the last three cycles has been an acceptance, but still... I am nervous.

Hoping it will be there tomorrow.

Btw, I'm looking at FedEx "InSight" is that the correct area to be looking? Thanks

...WHAT. C'mon, Scoobers. Can you at least PM me what it means if it's supposed to be cryptic? It's like Inception. I go to this forum because I'm trying to make sense of the admissions cycle and then I see the poll and leave even MORE confused.
