I am not sure about what the interviews mean. I went complete on 2/14 and was admitted on 2/24 via email with no interview. In state equalizer and 30k. 25% < LSAT/GPA < Median. Good luck to everyone waiting!

Yeah I wasn't sure, I had a status like this about a month ago that changed to one with no date , and then back to this. Hopefully I hear soon it's one of the last schools to get back to me. Ohhh MSU basketball, I think it just makes me depressed more than anything. Makes me pray for March to come around. Anyway, go tigers!AceDeuces wrote:
Yeah that's standard. It seems to be taking a while though, so hang in there. They sent out an email recently saying they were a little behind. Maybe watch some MSU basketball? That'll certainly make the wait easier.

Did it take anyone else a REALLY long time to get an acceptance packet after receiving the email? I got the email last Monday and still nothing...

Decision made 2/28. Hoping they give me $$ to leverage with other schools, if I get in. Do they tell you via email eventually, even though they say they do not?

Waitlisted today via email, applied on 1/23 complete the same day. A little bit of a surprise looking at LSN. I knew I was going to get some waitlists, but I didn't think this would be one of them. I have a 163 and everybody else with a 163 who has a decision got in with substantial scholarships. There are 162's who got an outright accept even with GPA's lower than mine (3.28) including some with money.

In!
Applied 11/19, under review starting early December, admitted 2/28.
Scholarship $: 30k and no mention of state tuition equalizer.
Extreme reverse splitter: 3.94 GPA, 158 LSAT, out of state.
Tempting offer, and I've heard great things about Bloomington, but I will see how I fare at other top 25 schools before making a decision.
Good luck to everyone else.

In with full tuition! Super fast turn around. Applied 2/20, under review 2/21. Decision made in status checker this morning followed by an email with acceptance and scholarship information. Out of state. Numbers in profile.

I thought it was preferred to type up a letter and send it to the admissions. At least that's what i did for wake forest.rosebowlchamps100 wrote:I was WLed as well today.amohiuddin wrote:got on the waitlist for Maurer. What are my chances? As in a physical copy and mail it in? Crap... If that's the case I did the wrong thing. I emailed mine in to Wake, Iowa, and Illinois.amohiuddin wrote:I thought it was preferred to type up a letter and send it to the admissions. Yea its better to physically mail it in, i guess they care that you show effort. An email is a simple click away. good luckrosebowlchamps100 wrote:As in a physical copy and mail it in? Crap... In and with full tuition =) Anyone know how much of a regional school Bloomington would be? I know it dropped in the rankings a bit this year and is obviously more of a regional school than the obvious ones, but how possible would it be to leave the area after school?
Basically, is full tuition at Bloomington worth it over full tuition to Denver or Boulder (where I would ideally like to live)
Any advice is good advice! Also I'll be at the accepted students day =)

You should probably take full tuition at Boulder if you want to practice in Colorado.johannalee wrote:In and with full tuition =) Anyone know how much of a regional school Bloomington would be? But I'd go ask this question in the choosing a law school forum.
Also, what are your stats?

IUB has a decent national rep, but it's pretty regional. Obv a few get DC/NY but we are talking like 2 or 3. Indy is the only metro where it has major clout. I know it places pretty well in Louisville for people who want it, especially with ties. It used to place well in Chi when biglaw firms weren't so t14 oriented and were hiring larger summer classes, but that's much harder now.johannalee wrote:In and with full tuition =) Anyone know how much of a regional school Bloomington would be? If there is no difference in COA because you are only paying COL, go the school in the region you want to be. The rankings outside the t14 are really pretty meaningless, so there is no need to worry about going to t50 instead of t29. That said, I've heard Denver is especially tough to break right now, even with ties. Indy is not much better because there just aren't many jobs.
