Anyone know how UCLA informs admitted students of scholarships? They didn't mention it to me over the phone, and I don't see anything in the mailed material about it. Is it online, or would I be best to contact them?

They tell you during the acceptance phone call if you got one.

Okay, thank you! I'm going to try reaching out to them, then, as my numbers should make me competitive for at least something there, if not something pretty substantial (LSAT>75th, 25th<GPA<50th). The admissions conversation was pretty short, and I didn't actually ask about it, either. I just wanted to make sure I couldn't get the information somewhere else without pestering them first

I sent them an email about it, and we're setting up a phone conversation after their office reopens on January 2 for more information. I also read back through the topic and see that there seem to be a few people in a similar situation. I'll post an update on what he explains afterward. Hopefully it was just an overlook, as UCLA with significant aid would be very competitive with Minnesota as my top choices outside of the T14, but if I'm getting nothing from UCLA, that full-ride from Minnesota is, no contest, more attractive, weather notwithstanding (and oh, am I beyond tired of the weather up here).

Anyone else notice that the brochure in UCLA's admitted student packet claims that alums are "currently" working in 50 countries...including Yugoslavia...?

Weird, since Yugoslavia is no longer a country...

Lol, I didn't look that closely, nice catch. They should really do more to publicize their time machine externship to dissolved Soviet Bloc countries. That's precisely what I hope to do with an international law specialty.

3 year undergrad, strong letter of recs, personal statement, and program contribution based on undergraduate extra curriculars and research.

No word on scholarships over phone or email though. Anyone have feedback on how I can land some?
