Complete 12/14
Waitlisted 3/13
CU is pretty much my top choice at this point. I've looked through some older threads to try to get an idea of how the waitlist has moved in the past, but can anyone speculate about how it'll be this year?

There is always movement. CU, like many top regional schools, is a safety school for a lot applicants with high numbers. As the waitlist starts moving at Cornell and GULC, the waitlist starts moving here.grantev wrote:Complete 12/14

If you want in, write a LOCI and wait it out. You'll probably get in.

Waitlisted a couple weeks ago. Applied early January. It is either this or DU for Law. I've been admitted to DU already, but wouldn't mind Boulder. Also sent in my LOCI.

Complete: 12/18
Waitlisted 3/13
Got some good $$ from Denver Law but would definitely go to CU if I got the opportunity. Sent in an updated resume and LOCI. I'm in-state; does anyone know if that decreases chance of getting off WL because of quotas or does that not matter?

No quotas. Probably helps you because they'll think you are more likely to attend if offered a spot. I think a lot of applicants send in LOCIs and join waitlists simply to see if they could get in the school. Also a lot of people join and then make firm arraignments to go somewhere else but never alert the other schools. I know I was guilty of the latter.GiffMan12 wrote:I'm in-state; does anyone know if that decreases chance of getting off WL because of quotas or does that not matter?

Yeah. It varies on when you were admitted. I got in end o' January and they sent scholly info about a month later. Other have been finding out info within two weeks of admittance.uconjak wrote:i have been away from this thread for a while. has anyone got any scholarship info?
I also received a financial aid letter from them in mail earlier this week.

Yeah...looks like you got some great options. I would stick with those higher-ranked schools depending on work preference and scholly offers.uconjak wrote:thanks dude, i haven't heard squat from them amitted about same time as you. I am a little weird, I like to have all the info before making a decision. I know I got some great offers/options but I just want to go over everything before I start making some cuts. Example U of Iowa gave me 78k almost of full ride for instate. I don't want to go to Iowa. I had that as my safety schools when i started out in Sept. with a june Lsat at 163.

I've been somewhat quiet recently. But was accepted last week, and then received my scholarship info on Monday. Stats and dates on LSN.

Re: University of Colorado c/o 2016 (2012-2013 cycle)
Well, I'm mainly considering it because of the cost of living in Colorado. Compared to CA (not sure where you're from) it's a lot lower. That certainly is appealing. I also have some ties to the state as I have family there. Also, I'm not focused on BigLaw (I've heard there isn't much opportunity for BigLaw in CO) as I'm aiming to become a prosecutor. I would gladly attend CU if the cost is reasonable. Obviously, like most others, I'm looking to minimize my debt. With my stats I'm hoping I can snag a pretty solid scholarship from CU and make my decision based on their offer.JayJones78 wrote:What's the draw to Colorado, if it's okay to askmd22 wrote:Thanks!
