yea that's exactly what was happening to medelizabeth10 wrote:I was unable to create a login. I entered my LSAC number on the first page and it recognized my name on Step 2, but when I clicked "Next" it just sent me back to Step 1.
I applied and went complete on 1/31. I haven't received any emails since then. I'm hoping the inability to create a login just means they haven't reviewed the application at all yet.

Do we have any previously admitted students who can let us know what they see when logging in?

I think, everything will be resolved when someone writes to admissions office and ask about the situationnba101790 wrote:What oh what does it mean!?!

I could just imagine the phone call.
"Hello, so I've been commenting pretty frequently on TLS, and it seems as if the Hastings thread has produced a conspiracy theory regarding your online sign up registration. We have broken it down into three subsections, including option 1, 2, and 3. These options may or may not correspond with LSAT/GPA numbers, and/or submission dates. We have zero idea regarding this theory's actual meaning, so can you shed the light on this?"
"uh, what? have you gotten your decision letter in the mail yet?"

there must be some meaning....for example, you log in and see information on deposit payment. ok. then, you're paying deposit. and imagine if, actually, you haven't been admitted but you've payed deposit then what? it's nonsense I think...

Wouldn't this make sense:
1. Those who've applied later whose app's have not been reviewed, thus their lsac # is not registered.
2. Earlier applicants who are still under review
3. Accepted

Just clarifying for those who cannot log in but did create an account:
You are clicking the login tab at the top right, correct? Not the Outlook Web login link at the top of the page that says before you log in you must change your outlook web password. I mention this because while able to login to the admitted students page I was unable to change my outlook web password.

Well, yeah totally. It's kind of like UW's LSAC status checker. When you see the deposit boxes pop up, you know you've been admitted even though they tell you a week later.ValerOn1820 wrote: there must be some meaning....for example, you log in and see information on deposit payment. ok. then, you're paying deposit. and imagine if, actually, you haven't been admitted but you've payed deposit then what? it's nonsense I think...

yes. then click admitted student tab since it changes to "red" whereas the other tabs are gray. then there is payment info.sonny wrote:Just clarifying for those who cannot log in but did create an account:

HEY jumping in to add some more to this awesome conspiracy theory.
I can create an account but not log in. I wasn't complete until... 1/31? So pretty recently. So I'm half option 2 and half option 1 because I applied later, but I can still create an account.

haha ideally you'd want an admitted student who has received their snail mail acceptance to clarify they arrive at the same screen you do upon login. That should near guarantee you're in.JadeWest wrote:yes. then click admitted student tab since it changes to "red" whereas the other tabs are gray. then there is payment info.sonny wrote:Just clarifying for those who cannot log in but did create an account:

Personally I'm an option 2 who applied late November who is unable to login after the initial registration.

Do you meant that you enter your lsac under step 1, go to step 2, and then get sent back to step 1?

No, I was able to get thought the entire initial registration process and got the confirmation email with my registration. But, I am consistently turned down when I try to log-in to their admitted students site.coffeeaddict wrote:SAlpha wrote:haha ideally you'd want an admitted student who has received their snail mail acceptance to clarify they arrive at the same screen you do upon login. Welp, there goes that theory on options 1's. Still stand by my assumption that those who are shown an invoice are accepted. Not sure what to make of those able/unable to get past initial registration now though.helterskelter wrote:I just got my acceptance letter, but my LSAC number can't be found in the system!

Yeah, I think your theory is sound. Perhaps Helter is an exception.SAlpha wrote:Welp, there goes that theory on options 1's. The ones that can't go further into the system must all just be in the "complete" phase and the decision could still go either way.
