I'll be there. I never saw another weekend visit on the schedule. Weekend of 4/5 seems to be the busiest weekend for ASW's, at least for my schools.

Are all the decisions made via email now at this point in the cycle? Or email only if you're accepted? My status just changed to decision made within the last hour. Don't know if I should be expecting an email or snailmail.

Well I was waitlisted and got snail mail and then I just got in via email and my status changed to "Decision Made". So unless it was only an email because of the waitlist thing, I'd be expecting an email.babyxballerina wrote:Are all the decisions made via email now at this point in the cycle? So if I'm expecting possibly waitlist (since my LSAT is low), would that be snailmail still? Heard they usually do snailmail but, since its so late in the cycle, it's been emails.cbarlow1016 wrote:Well I was waitlisted and got snail mail and then I just got in via email and my status changed to "Decision Made". My account said Decision Made and was notified of admission by snail mail 12-14 days later. Before mail arrived, Picture appeared in my requirements box so I was pretty confident of acceptance (after seeing earlier posts on this same subject).

Hello TLS,
First time posting, I was accepted to Indiana and I will be at ASW. Does anyone know how to sign up for the Scramble?

Does anyone know if the travel stipends cover admitted students day only or could it be used for a visit later on. There's no way I can make the march date but I really wanna check out the school.

If you join the Facebook group, there is a pretty recent post about it. The guy to made the post says to comment on it or message him with your email address. I did, but he hasn't contacted me about it yet.Bay Business wrote:Hello TLS,

"wannabelawstudent":
I asked the above question via email and this is the response I received...
"We are not normally reimbursing outside of Spring Law Day unless there are extenuating circumstances and we then ask the individual to write to us explaining."
Cheers!

Re: Indiana-Bloomington Class of 2016
My status switched to 'Decision Made' yesterday afternoon, 3/6. I didn't receive an e-mail, or any notification of any mailings being sent out. Calling in seems to be a viable solution for those not wanting to wait for the snail mail letters.
My understanding is that most decisions are made by 3/1. Ought I to be expecting bad news?

Hey incoming 1Ls!
I'm a rising 2L and have a 1st floor 2 bedroom/2 full bath apartment about 2 miles from the law school. My roommate is getting married over the summer so he'll be moving out.
Rent is somewhere around $510/month per person and includes water, cable internet, and basic cable tv (though my roommate and I spent the extra couple bucks to get hd and sports channels). Electricity tends to be about $50/person (and peaks around $70-80/month per person during the wicked cold months). There's a shuttle that leaves from the apartment complex every 30 mins or so and drops off right in front of the law school.
Hit me up if you're interested or if you have any questions about IU or Bloomington.
Cheers,
TK

Does anyone have any idea what IU-B's deferral policy is? Can't seem to find anything on the website; everything else is no very revealing.

Will the Financial Aid office negotiate scholarships and on what basis?

I don't have personal experience, but the 3L that called me on Sunday told me that they will definitely discuss it if you can show them offers from comparable schools.revlawyer wrote:Will the Financial Aid office negotiate scholarships and on what basis?

I was really surprised to get that kind of scholarship to be honest, but maybe it's because they've gotten back to me so late, and their deadline is so close.

Re: Indiana-Bloomington Class of 2016
I would note that tuition will rise while we are at school, possibly by $2,000 a year, rendering the scholarship covering that much less per year of the scholarships we receive. This is universal and says nothing about IU-Bloomington, but is worth preparing for financially. I received $120,000 scholarship, and currently that leaves about $9,000 a year for me to pay when I figure for required fees. But my 2L remainder will most likely be $11,000 leftover, and my 3L leftover will be $13,000, rendering my scholarship short of "full tuition" by $33,000 plus whatever living expenses my wife and I will need to live on.
Just keep this fact in mind: while the scholarship is not going to change, your yearly tuition rate will.
