Are you completely happy with your decision to attend W&L? Why/Why not?

Are you completely happy with your decision to attend W&L? Why/Why not?

I am happy with my decision to attend, esp as a URM I had to weigh my options on which school would give me the best education as well as a strong support system. Once I was admitted I incorrectly assumed this was a southern virginia school with no diversity and that I was going to be alone, but (after visiting) that was NOT the case, yes the school could do better with diversity but I LOVE my friends here, we're like a family. I strongly believe my support system helped with my performance last semester, finished in the top 20%.

The professors are great, I knew exactly what I wanted to do before I decided what school to attend and during orientation I actually met with a professor who worked in the office I wish to eventually work in and he's been great in assisting me meet that goal. Professors, even if they don't have you in their class, are kind enough to meet with all students to discuss any and everything.

The alum network is great, I contacted an alum in the fall and she replied within a few hours eager to meet with me

the only thing that haunts me is the cost but im sure everyone considers that

one things that i will emphasize, in deciding on law school in general, is to not simply look at school rank and call it a day, its more than that..its comfort, professors, the overall vibe you feel being welcomed onto the campus the first time

ALSO: just general advice, ask yourself can this school, or any other school, put you into the office/position/field that you want to do..i have an office in mind and if this school can't put me there than yeah i may consider leaving, but thats not because of the school, i love it here, but a good life practice is to constantly weigh your options, which doesn't stop once you decide on what school to attend.

did everyone who was accepted get the email just now about scholarship info being sent, or did only the people that actually received scholarships get the email? the email kinda made it seem like a generic message to anyone possibly waiting for info on a scholarship, not necessarily that you actually received one

No. My status date still says 11/29, and there's no mention of any mailing. With a 168 LSAT, I'm surprised, especially after what they offered me two years ago.

Got an email saying that a decision would be posted by the end of today. I think this equates to check your status checker or else you wont find out you're rejected..... thoughts? >.<

I would just auto check your status. Mine changed about an hour after I got that email.

Mine doesn't arrive until about 2pm PST and he's a Newman style mailman that you don't want to mess with!! So I think I better just wait quietly in the hopes I won't anger him and having him "forget" to put my ND decision latter in my mailbox tomorrow

I didn't , I've been in review since 1/10. Ugh, I keep having fears I'm not going to get in anywhere.

It's 1/17. Thats a week! Relax.

Longtime lurker, didn't want to post numbers anywhere until decisions started coming. This was my first of the cycle, so happy it came from W&L!! I was surprised I had such a quick turnaround time because of my low LSAT score, but I have some pretty good softs and LORs that I think made a big difference.

I got the "decision" e-mail this morning around 8:30 PST, my status checker was updated around 9:40, and got the acceptance e-mail about 30 minutes later. Congrats to all new admits!
