Same, UF is currently my number one, however I eagerly await the scholarship offer, W&M gave me in state so I'd need something similar to choose Florida over W&M.

Do you think going to this will be beneficial? Also it says diverse students, and it lists who it is partnered with, I don't want to feel out of place or anything.

I feel like this is intended more for younger students. I go to FSU and I personally wouldn't make the trip down for the event. But if you live in Gainsville or are going to be in the area then maybe give it a shot. You can always call admissions and ask if they think it's a good idea for you to attend.

I do live in Gainesville. I have of gotten an official tour of the campus or anything related to that. I don't have anything else going on that weekend. I think I might go since it won't hurt my chances

Went under initial review today.

Did some looking how but couldnt find a consensus on how long until it went to next stage for people. Any idea??

Total crapshoot. Could be as long as it takes for the letter to arrive; could be NDR for a very long time. Enjoy your spring semester.

I wonder if the drop in applications will mean that those of us that aren't auto-admits can expect to remain NDR for longer than past cycles. Got pretty bored and did some research:

I noticed that in the 2011-2012 cycle UF received about 350 less applications, but accepted more students than in 2010-2011. Hopefully the trend continues

Well... I got accepted to Stetson with a full scholarship but still no word from UF

UF takes the cake for the most thoughtful admission gesture. They sent me a fully handwritten letter that spoke of my achievements and background, pretty effin nice.

It shouldn't have, but this made a difference during my cycle. They are the absolute best at these little touches.

Yeah!! I was really surprised. I was like, "Yay! My personal statement wasn't crap after all! They liked it!"

Just got the "Final Decision Reached, Notice Issued" update!! I went NDR on January 17. Keeping my fingers crossed. Sounds like it takes a few days for the mail.

This seems like it would be a difficult statistic to ascertain, but does anyone know how UF does in comparison to Miami as far as job placement in southern Florida?
