Looks like they're holding my app until I get a dean's cert in. I'm going to finish my NYU and Columbia apps (the other ones that require a dean's cert prior to admittance) before I hassle my alma mater with requests...
The whole cert thing seems pretty silly to me though. I understand asking for it after we're admitted (like Yale does) to verify our disclosure, but it's a hassle for universities and applicants when a) I might not get in and b) I might decline to attend, so the chance of them actually needing it is pretty low.

Just sent my application! I have received the PT offer via email but didn't take it. 168-3.92, good softs, out of school for 2 years, worked abroad and currently working as a political adviser. "international" applicant (Canada).
Congrats to all of you that are in! My top choices are YHS, but I'd be really happy to get into Duke and attend law school there!

Why didn't you take the PT offer? It is non-binding and just expedites the response...Mdenis1 wrote:Just sent my application! Clearly his reading comprehension score was the only thing keeping him from a 180.helix23 wrote:Why didn't you take the PT offer? I bet he can change over to PT if he fills out the form on the link and calls or emails the admissions office.

For PT people, how long did it take to get a decision after the file went under review? How many days does it stay under review? What day did people get their decision on?
I know I could read through the 13 pages of this thread to get most of my answers but hoping PT admits can be cooperative. It'll probably be helpful to a whole bunch of people.

If we answer this question for you who is to say that future people won't also be lazy and not read previous pages, thus missing this page and forcing us to answer the question again?bernaldiaz wrote:For PT people, how long did it take to get a decision after the file went under review? Enjoy Harvard bro. Stop jerking these other schools around with your apps and whatnot.

Took me 3 days from under review to decision. Seemed like it took between 1 to 5 days for most everyone so far.

Got my swag package in the mail today from Duke. Not too shabby...
EDIT: For people who received acceptance mail packages, did you guys get a nice handwritten note at the end too?

Exciting! Is there actual swag or just a bunch of papers?

Let me start my response by saying I have a 178 and a 3.95.bernaldiaz wrote:For PT people, how long did it take to get a decision after the file went under review? How many days does it stay under review? What day did people get their decision on?

Mine went under review initially on 09/06, which was a Thursday, and then the "under review" date updated on the 10th, but then was stuck there until the 14th. I know that some people got answers quite a bit faster, but I think they also applied right when the apps opened. When did yours go under review, bro?
