It is practically impossible to get instate tuition in Arizona after one year. Don't expect it if you are coming from out of state. ASU is full of law students who severed all connections to other states and they are denied instate tuition each year based on technicalities.
Worst part is for everything but tuition purposes they are residents of Arizona, which means they have nothing to show for all the work.

That is OK, there is plenty to do in the 120 degree summers in Phoenix.

I'm told about 60% don't get it and about 40% do. It is usually the dependent thing that kills people.

I am pretty sure they don't give instate to Liverpool supporters.

Congrats on your acceptance.

Oh it would be awesome if there's a fellow EPL fan in the class.

So I haven't followed this thread as closely as some others, but I applied RD with numbers above both 75th and have heard nothing. Also, it doesn't seem like many if any RD applicants have heard back. Am I wrong?

No, you're right. Chances are you all won't begin to hear until April (totally guessing)

looking back through last year's TLS ASU thread, I found the same complaints about waiting, and and it looked like people started hearing in mid- and late March.

Yea, last year I didn't hear back until like April/May. I was rejected last year though, so that could have something to do with my long wait. Everyone else had to wait a while though. (My stats last cycle were 159/3.67)

Thanks everyone for the good info. Just curious, since you all seem to know a lot more than I do about ASU, how are they in schollys? I have good offers from comparable schools and I'm out of state so it might not be worth delaying my seat deposit somewhere else if there is no shot at a good offer. Thanks again for the quick replies, and good luck to everyone!

They're 'alright' on scholarships. Not as much money to throw around as UofA, but they do what they can.

It seems, so far, that the most an in-stater has received is 55k. OOS should expect a little more to make up for the difference in cost.

I spoke to admissions yesterday. They have started to release decisions, apparently, though mine was not one of them.

I got my initial "hold" decision through email. I wonder if they're only just now releasing regular applicant decisions or if they're tapping into this "hold" category as well.

I was told it is mostly snail mail, and some email, with no criteria given for the choice.

"Hold" means "held for review with the Regular applicant pool", so I would assume you're now an RD candidate waiting to hear with the rest of us, i.e. in the mix, not a separate category.

Hope that's true....ASU is my top-choice!

It's because it is an illuminated manuscript done on vellum, and, you know how it is, it's lambing season and all the shepherds are busy with that, so vellum is in short supply, and the monks are getting ready for Easter. It's a busy time in the Middle Ages, spring.

I know. And after next week, there's the pilgrimage to the holy waters of Puerto Peñasco. I mean, c'mon, I paid my indulgance, I offered my fealty to the Bishop ... I'm ready to receive my tonsure, already!

I generally agree with most people that say the rankings are not all that meaningful. But dang, this is hard not to get excited about. What a jump!

And I agree with the post above me. I hope I get in. It's my dream to live/work in the Scottsdale area.

I'm RD and I haven't heard back either. I applied 12/2 and have heard nothing since the first email saying they got my app. Anyone considered sending a LOCI before hearing back or know if ASU responds well to them?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
