So either way, sometime soon we should start seeing JR1s (though invites went out Thurs/Fri last year with the interview early the next week) and decisions right before Thanksgiving breaks on the first rounders.
Aiee! Annoyingly, I'll be in London with no phone for the 9 days directly before Thanksgiving. >.<
Yeah, I'm going to be abroad too. Have you thought about getting one of those skype online number thingies? I dunno though if that would be cheaper than just taking an international call on a regular phone.
No, I haven't. I think that if I'm lucky enough to get a KB1, I'll just mention that I will be away then. Maybe I'll have my parents check my voicemail every few days.

So I just left an HLS information session at my school hosted by miss Gold (I think). When I asked her about the chances of interview invites going out any time soon, she said that all of the adcoms were out doing info sessions like her so it'll be a decent amount of time until they come out. :'(.

I think you'll be lucky enough to get one...at least I hope so, since we're numbers twins :P

Thanks for the info, vincanity, I hope acceptances won't be too delayed because of that, but that's some good piece of mind for knowing that it's not expected that I have one yet!

If they don't let us in, they'll have made a huge mistake.

Dang, thanks for telling us. Looks like they have a bit of a break coming up.

I'm hoping to apply to Harvard within the next few days and was wondering if anyone in here is keen to take a look at my PS or swap. The help in the personal statements section has been valuable, but it would be brilliant if one of my fellow H applicants could give me his/her opinion. Knowing that someone with the same end goal thinks the PS is great/mediocre/shit would be quite helpful!

I'll be more than happy to reciprocate.

Thanks vincanity for the info- good thing it wasn't a TLS crowd. There may have been a hiss or two ;)

AS the crowd cries: "Start admitting, stop recruiting. You're Harvard, everyone already wants to be with you. Let us in!"

I was wondering about the recruiting. I wasn't planning to apply (3.45, 162, URM) but I got an email from Alianza at HLS inviting me to apply. Should I even waste/ invest the $80? And the anxiety that goes with it?

I don't know anything about URM cycles. Check LSN and see if anyone got admitted with your numbers.

Threat of impending waitlist/rejection? Threat of imminent interview invitation? Threat of decisions never being made and remaining in application purgatory forever?

All of those are at code yellow, I would say.

When's the latest to apply so that I can catch the first wave? In 10 days?

Let's play a fun game.

I predict that the first TLS'er will receive his/her KB1 invite on.....NOVEMBER 3rd.
