Re: Tulane 2011
Just found the acceptance packet that our mailperson "hid."
In with 20K a year. Was hoping for a little more. Not sure if that would be enough for me to attend.
Anyone know how Tulane is with scholarship negotiating?

I just re-looked over the fitness questions and sent them an email telling them I've gotten 2 moving violations. Hope it doesn't kill my chances.

It seems like everyone accepted so far has gotten scholarships - is this how it generally works with 1st/2nd wave of acceptances? Has everyone accepted 1/18 got their packages yet?

I can't remember if I read this in last year's thread or the year before, but Tulane has offered a $300 stipend to reimburse travel expenses (airfare, gas - not hotels) in the past. I have not heard anything about this being offered this year, though..

Re: Tulane 2011
Read the thread from last year, and they said the 300$ was mentioned in the accepted student package and website. Nowhere to be found this year...rollgreenwave wrote:I can't remember if I read this in last year's thread or the year before, but Tulane has offered a $300 stipend to reimburse travel expenses (airfare, gas - not hotels) in the past. Tulane's definitely in my top 4.
I'd really like them to go ahead and accept me so I can make plans to visit the campus. I've visited before but never the law buildings.

Longhorn - the law building is so nice! Granted, I have only toured Tulane, Texas and U of H, but it blew the others out of the water. The facilities were a huge selling point for me, hopefully I will see you there next year since that is where I am headed. Good luck!

Anyone could blow UH's law building out of the water.rollgreenwave wrote:Longhorn - the law building is so nice! I've been to Tulane's campus a bunch over the years, and I love the older buildings. I've never been to the law building in person, but it seemed to me from looking online that the law building is new with a contemporary design. Is that so? I wish they'd just keep it all classic.

Re: Tulane 2011
Right now it looks like UT, SMU, Tulane and WUSTL. I love Tulane's location and that they're fairly generous with financial aid. My only drawback is that I think I want to work in Dallas and I don't think they compare favorably in that department to the other schools I'm applying to.
Number 1 criteria is location, number 2 is price, so hopefully Tulane admissions can come through for me.
