Got a letter in the mail that I was not selected for the honors scholars program. I'm surprised, frankly, and of course disappointed. I had very strong essays, but I never owned my own company or the like.

I was on the priority deferred list and got my acceptance yesterday via email.

What does in final review mean? If i was going to be denied would my file go into final review?

I went in "Final Review" about 5 days before getting accepted. I've read other people say similar comments on this forum, so you're prob in good shape

Not selected for the honors scholars interview. Got access to IIT's portal today and found a 20k per year scholly award. Kind of a disappointing offer to me.

Accepted to the Full-time program today. They really kept me waiting a long time.

Anyway, I haven't received any word on scholarships yet, but at the moment I'm leaning toward SMU or Rutgers (Random options, I know).

This should serve as hope to any applicants waiting to hear back, I was sure a wait list was coming at this point.

Also, I was waiting around for a letter for scholarship info and didn't know about this portal. I am logged in now. How do I go about finding out my scholarship info?

Me too. Are you taking them up on it? I'm thinking I might go to the March 25th visit day. That means some last-minute plans and flight arrangements, but I think it's worth it.

I was dicking around on the Portal and accidentally accepted the scholarship. Freaked out and withdrew immediately via email.

^ I checked mine and mine already said "Accepted" even though I never clicked anything or sent anything in.

Same here, my scholly says "accepted" and I never did anything for it to say that

Accepted off of the Priority Deferred list on March 11th. I was only on the Deferred List about two weeks (since February 28th I believe). I'm hoping that they haven't used all of their scholarship $$ yet, especially since DePaul gave me $15k per year.

Congrats! im hoping they start re-evaluating the regular deferred list soon

If living in Chicago, anyone have any suggestions on good places to look/areas to live?

Presidential Towers is about a block away and if you have a 100lb American Bulldog, they're well suited.

maybe a place that is a bit further north. That is close to one of the subway lines. Just looked at Presidential Towers and that place is kinda steep... looks nice, but sadly I was not a rockstar before law school
